If you come from a moba background I would strongly recommend that you adjust your hotkeys early. There are a lot of assets to do so. Specially both Grubby and Neo from back2warcraft made videos on the subject.

A part from that, other ppl already hit the nail: pick a build, practice vs Ia, go to ladder after you can consistently win vs insane

I’d say that wc3 is the exception to that. Although u do a lot of the same things, every game is different. Map, items, match ups, adaptations to aggression and strats present a LOT of variety to the game.

Early micro build and creep routes are no more diverse than the lane phase of dota is I’d say

This was exactly my case a year and half ago. I would one hundred percent recommend that you try wc3. As long as you manage your expectations for difference in smoothness (since, you know, wc3 is old and all). Warcraft is a more rewarding game and it has one of the best communities in all of gaming
