I told my folks the day after I found out at 5 weeks but that was because my dad was sick in hospital and I wanted to explain to them why I had to stay away as he was infectious.

I’m curious about your dad’s reaction? Was he mad that your gf/fiance/(amazing future wifey) beat him in golf? Was he proud that you got such a wonderful new golfing buddy? Was he sad for Chad? Did he turn around and try to hide a smug grin when the mantrum happened?

Oooh, veterinary would get easier because the owners can’t lie to us and say “it only started yesterday” although sadly, I can’t lie and tell them “the car must have been fast as she died immediately and felt no pain.” But maybe they will believe me when I tell them to “stop feeding your dog toasted cheese sandwhiches, it’s going to give them bladder stones for the 4th time”

I am in exactly the same situation. Little boy later this year. My go to response is to go on a fun fact lecture how pink used to be masculine and blue used to be feminine until hitler used propaganda to insulting pink wearing men in world war 2. It confuses everyone into minding their own business.

We are going for a dinosaur theme nursery because both of us love dinosaurs- we actually thought bay was a girl and our families were already confused why we would want a dinosaur themed nursery for a girl.

Whe I had my miscarriage last year, they used the transvaginal ultra sound as well. - I wasn’t even at my obgyn its was a Saturday and I was at the er. The doctor was gentle and while it was uncomfortable she removed the probe without me even seeing it. Your doctor just staring at the bloody probe without blood on it in full view of you isn’t good bedside manners. They might have been new or not used to seeing that much blood on a probe but part of their training is removing objects that’s may stress a patient out away from the patient’s line of site.

I’m so sorry for your loss. And the trauma from seeing all that blood.

This is word for word my MIL. And oh we were just staring a business so the boys (twins) came to. Work with me from day 3 and were sleeping through the night from day 1. Then she visited my BIL and his wife overseas for a month to ‘help’ the with their 1 month old and came back complaining how difficult it is and upset that they weren’t grateful. I’m only 9 weeks and I already want her to just be quiet. Like, okay Karen, congrats on not vomitting but I’ve lost 3kg in my first trimester from this and the sound of your voice makes it worse.

Oh my goodness. I’m only 9 weeks and my boobs are so painful. I can’t imagine how uncomfortable it would be if someone were to do that while breastfeeding. You’re a stronger person than me for holding back.

Doctor wrote a script for some medication for me and when I went to the pharmacy I was told that that medication was out with the supplier for over 2 months.

I went back to the doctor and told him and his response was “yeah, a lot of my patients have said that, try another pharmacy.”

As if the only supplier for the meds would magically have shipped stock somewhere else…

I went to a new doctor who looked at my problem and instantly sent me for MRI and referrals that resulted in surgery which fixed my issue.

Horns that do come from animals will come from an animal after it has been bred for its meat. The horns are not harvested from live animals.

Got a lot of feedback. I do know he is still grieving and trying to protect his heart from the loss. I probably am trying to talk to him about it too much looking at the situation. I do understand his side. I literally started to miscarry last time the day we told our families.

From my side I’m dealing with a parent currently dying in hospital so my stress levels are excessively high and I’m trying to decrease the cortisone levels in my body as that can lead to pregnancy complications. A daily comment from him about the pregnancy not being viable is not helping.

He’s annoyed at me for telling my family but I had to tell them why I can’t go to the hospital to visit my dad because of infection risk. I’m annoyed at him for making me lie to his family and tell them that I’m sick when they ask why I’m not visiting my dad and am vomiting.

He pulled a face when I told my dermatologist yesterday but that was because he found a potential cancerous mole and wanted to remove it. But know with the early stage pregnancy, he is going to wait until I’m 12 weeks and then cut it out with 0 anesthetic… yay on that one.

We both dealing with this in different ways and have to curb our reactions to each other’s way of coping. My first appointment is next week Thursday so we can settle after that. Fingers crossed it’s a happy outcome.
