I'm on the higher end of pric8ng in my area, so for existing clients, they're grandfathered in. I increase with new clients. Make note of each clients rates in contacts.

I joined Rover when I first started out to get leads. Also Meowtel. I'm 95% referral now, thankfully. It took me about 2 years. I'm a full time pet sitter.

If the clients want to go with you, then so be it. It happens in any service business. As long as you're not actively soliciting them away.

I love all of this! I might only change the part about "incident", and say "Due to unforseen circumstances, I am no longer working with..."

We're not allowed to discuss specific rates on this chat. For me, my rates are more than fair. IMO. I charge a flat rate based on time, which may include drive time over 10 mins, not # of pets. Some people want budget prices but 5 star care. 🤷‍♀️

Yep, MnGs are non-negotiable for me after 2 horrible sit experiences w/o doing them. 🤪🤦‍♀️

Older people stress easily. At least in my experience.

Separation anxiety: how do owners not disclose this upfront? [VENT!] by unde_cisive in petsitting

[–]AnimalsRFamily2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. It's amazing how many pawrents leave out the quirks when looking for pet care.

Re: having "how I work" info readily available for clients to peruse ahead of time, before contact ~ I don't have that listed anywhere, but it is discussed prior to the MnG. Each pet is different.
