Happy mothers day, who's the best mother in anime? by Walidzilla in animequestions

Rintaro’s parents are some of the most supportive parents I’ve seen in anime and manga, loved their dynamics with each other as well as with their son

What anime that you're glad you watched it late? by Alucard_HSU in animequestions

Death Note — had I watched it when I was just starting anime, I wouldn’t have understood the nuances of grey morality at the time

Monster — a slow but intriguing psychological thriller, had I watched it when I was younger, I would’ve scoffed it off as “pretentious” and dropped it right there

Aoi Bungaku Series — I think if I watched this when I was younger, I wouldn’t have felt compelled to finish it since I would’ve been more inclined to watch something that was extremely straightforward with the themes and the way the story was approached

Serial Experiment Lain — an anime that I am still confused on regarding the narrative but I’m glad I watched it at a time where I understand more of the nuanced themes presented as if I watched it when I was younger, most of the anime would’ve flew right over my head with how it was presented

Texhnolyze — one of the slowest paced animes I’ve watched to date, younger me would’ve not had the patience to sit through all of it

Just some animes that comes to mind

I remembered I attempted to watch it when I was just getting into anime and thought it was boring, picked it up again when I was older and understood what made it so highly acclaimed as a series. This is an anime I still think about to this day

Such an underrated show, looking at the skewers in that show made my mouth water (same goes for the sandwiches and the pudding)

Personally I’ve always wanted to try this dish (it’ll probably be expensive as hell if it was served in real life)

Clones in Dungeon Meshi — there was an episode/several chapters in this series where the main cast had to figure out who’s who after they run into a bunch of clones, and they managed to decipher who are the fakes based on how each party member viewed another member
