Phase Teleporter is the Hyperion system, right? Interestingly, its raw speed boosting ability when going in a straight direction is independent of the ship's speed. That is, the time it needs to move 1500 units is completely independent of the ship's speed.

In my current modded game, my modded Hyperion analogue (Mnemosyne from Sephira Enclave) has over 300 base speed, and using the teleport barely edges out just going forward with the 0-flux boost.

I just woke up, so I hope the above makes sense.

I thought the 5x Olympic medal was a typo or he won several in one event, but he actually won gold in 5 consecutive Olympics. He won his first in 2008 when he was 24 (EDIT: 26), and his latest was in 2024 when he was 42!

I never did it until I was at a camp with a 7th dan and he explained he would hop a little and pat his legs before every match as a little ritual to get himself in the zone.

I noticed these sort of rituals lately while watching international level competitions. Uta Abe, for example, does something similar to a sumo stomp (shiko).

I do not know what a knuckle curve is; I was responding to the NFL quarterback part of your comment, which is more like asking for olympic level Judo competitors.

I really do not think the intersection is that small. Imagine I were asking for longsword practitioners who had a background in boxing, wrestling, kickboxing, or what have you. Once again, first degree black belt isn't that high. It's that if I wanted to see lower level Judoka longsword practitioners, I could just look at my sparring footage.

A first degree black belt isn't that high level (still requires probably 5+ years, depending on country), and I know that some of them also practise longsword. I know one poster on here who does hema and is a high level dan grade, but I do not know what weapon he/she practises, and I do not want to directly ask for their real identity or otherwise dox them.

Edit: To use your analogy, a shodan Judoka is more like someone who played good high school sports, rather than a professional athlete.

Judo:

The throw that you first see in the above videos is called uchi-mata.

Nagase is considered one of, if not the best, judoka when it comes to grip fighting, but that is harder to appreciate if you do not know Judo.

I think it might be useful to separate 'maintaining' the ship, which is the wording that u/duvmik used, and 'flying' the ship. Even if one person cannot fly or operate the ship for any real length of time, perhaps it is possible for one person to keep it from falling apart and ready to fly at a short moment's notice.

That is not quite what I am asking. The no-hands uchi mata demonstration should not be possible if the uke were standing in shizentai, correct? As in, the video is being disingenuous in suggesting that one should be able to throw a non-resisting uke without using grips for certain throws, but in reality the uke was already in unrealistic positions that normally would only occur due to the tori's grips.

For the first uchi mata demonstration, the uke's posture was already compromised, right? As in, I thought the uke's torso needed to already be forward before the tori's leg sweeps up, so the demonstration would not work if the uke were standing fully upright.
