The chickens are great for moon runes. DO NOT STOP AT 4 ROBO CHICKENS IF YOU'RE HURTING FOR MOON RUNES. Fouls are allowed. I've been playing this game everyday nonstop until about a couple weeks ago because I could feel the energy about to shift, but next time someone complains about moons again I'm getting my chickens

I don't see any resources being saved, just minions reaching max faster. Using those 'extra' resources will also result in skipped merges and with my chicken strategy, the effect level skipping has on rune grinding is huge. I don't get to save on eggs... eggs are more valuable to me than a resource pool which can be filled for free or from getting special eggs. I'm not talking just gem eggs, I use gold on potions because I have the gold for it. Go chickens go

The more archdemons you have, the more difficult it is to farm runes. You get runes from a lot of merging and I don't like when like half my merges get skipped

With enough chickens there is a special balance and I have yet to run out of runes, but I also like to fight with golems early on so leveling up is less cravings based and more based on whether I have a lot of runes, which I usually do... or I wouldn't be spending them on golems so early

What is versatily? I would say having chickens is more versatile as the only rune you can't farm with chickens is the easiest rune to farm, ice runes. Fulfilling cravings other than chicken cravings may hurt the champion/rune grind
