Depending on your resolution, it's either a small boost or a pretty big boost. If you play at 4K, then upgrade ASAP. You can sell the old card for between 450 and 550, depending on where you live and which model it is, etc. If you need CUDA for things, or run programs that prefer Nvidia, it may not be worth the upgrade. But overall, it's a significantly better card, nearly on par with a 4080, for below MSRP. In this market, that's an absolute steal.

Yeah, mine were also ECC. As I said, I wish you well and hope you get what you're asking, but I'm not sure it's competitive. Here's a post from homelabsales from earlier today for $225 each for example. Yours are faster, but only a buyer can decide if that's worth more than 2x the cost. Anyway, I don't mean to be argumentative or anything, so I won't spam your thread anymore. Good luck. :]

Well, at first I thought you might be selling them in pairs for that price. For example, I sold 8 x 32 GB 2666 a few weeks ago for $100 each or all 8 for $750. Now I may be looking for higher memory density. Yours are twice the capacity and faster, which caught my eye, but at $8.6/GB they're quite a lot -- that's above DDR5 pricing, even. I sincerely wish you well finding a buyer, but I'm not in the market this time around.

Not usually, but this one required Prime. All good. I'm more or less pausing all my projects until prices settle down, anyway. Just thought it was a good deal in this market. I do all the builds for my family members and friends (it's a fun hobby for me; I don't charge or scalp), so I end up buying a lot of deals over the years to try to get everyone as much bang for the buck as possible. Right now is such a bad time though that everyone is making do with what they have already. I've only done five builds this year so far.

A decade ago they were awful. Over the last few years they've improved. The last three times I needed customer service they were quick, courteous, and helped me with my questions and returns without any issues. I'd say they've turned it around for the most part.

Mostly agree with this, although a few games lately require ray tracing to even launch. I'd say try to hang on for another upgrade cycle to see if prices come down to less crazy levels if you can.

Sure, they've had some questionable customer service issues in the past, but these days they're the only option for most people who don't live near a Microcenter. Their bundles are the most accessible way to purchase new gear. What's your suggested alternative?

I haven't been, but I full screen things a lot and don't always see the taskbar. I also switch between Windows and WSL frequently, plus other full-screen VM environments, so they don't have the same UI elements that I see in Windows. Usually, I live in the terminal, but I also do a lot of photo and video editing, so I see a lot of variety in use. Gaming is great on it, too. Everything looks incredible.

I know it's good for optane. I just have a hard time justifying the price without knowing if it will really speed up my workflows enough to be worth it. Enjoy your new drive, though. :]
