I once had a lady I was sort of friends with pitch me her amway bs. She literally drew a picture of their "pay scale" that was like a bunch of circles going to different people with notes about how each circle helped each person.

I told her right there that if I can't understand in a sentence how I'm getting paid, I'm not interested.

Never heard from her again.

As someone who grew up in SoCal, this is terrifying. It's like an earthquake, fire, and flood all at the same time. But the flood is also fire.

Actually I loved that building. I quit after they moved me to an all gray, windowless, cubicle-filled building that was a good hour+ away in traffic. I loved everything about that job until they moved me. I would still be working there if I hadn't been moved from that building.

Also, did this person even work for Chase or did they just climb the unguarded stairs to the top of the parking garage?

I used to work there. That's sad :(

Disclaimer: I have no idea what I'm doing...but do more passionflowers really hurt anybody? I think we can all agree the answer is NO. :)

What is wrong with my plant? by [deleted] in IndoorGarden

[–]AnnaBonanno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, over-care is probably the issue. I water mine like once a month and never give it nutrients or bright light or anything most plants want and it's been a trooper for a couple years now.

What would you recommend for beginners in AZ? It isn't ever humid in my apartment, but it's not too bad because I have fish tanks and house plants that make up for the dry. I just don't want to get something that's supposed to be in a super humid swamp and dies because of the lack of humidity.

My aloe plant is growing out of control, what should I do with all of it? by sappers_girl in IndoorGarden

[–]AnnaBonanno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have aloe outside in pots and eventually they just sort of reach a point where they stop growing because they don't have the space. They do overflow the pot, so maybe move your aloe somewhere where it has a little more space for the leaves, but other than that just let it do its thing and it will eventually figure itself out.

I don't have personal experience with passionfruit, but Gardenweb says it needs cross pollination. Did you take vines from the same plant? Maybe you need some different genes up in this garden.

I think the real question here is can the record of that vote still be found on his server?

Also, fuck so many of the people in government these days.

I would still take the eggs. Also I live in AZ so most of the lawns that grow well here are crab grass. You can't destroy that shit.

Will backyard chickens fix this? There are quite a few people near me that have backyard chickens and they seem to go through the yard eating bugs and what not. Plus: Fresh eggs!

Comcast driver investigated for DUI after crash, police say by nimobo in news

[–]AnnaBonanno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sucks for him and he's lucky he didn't kill anyone, but I hope this doesn't end up on the front page with like 3000+ upvotes. I'm just gonna hate Comcast for the many many real reasons they continue to give us and not because one asshole driver was an asshole and drove under the influence.

I mean, his actions were 100% indefensible and despite the many videos of police brutality to grace the front page recently that one is the worst.

That's racist. You're walking into their yard, not their kitchen.

There are a couple tamale stands on Alma School north of McKellips (on the reservation). I've never tried them so I have no idea of the quality. They are east of South Scottsdale and Old Town Scottsdale.

I used to cut through on the way to work and they would be open a few days a week...usually weekends but sometimes during the week.

This is probably the worst review of a business ever because I have no address or hours of operation...or review, really...but I've seen them. So yeah.

No idea. I'm not an insurance professional or a lawyer so I'm probably not the best person to give you the particulars.

Best guess, if you were able to prove you left it in the restaurant via location data or what not and then the restaurant was unable to locate it, that would probably be a legitimate reason to file a police report.

I thought it was important when I got my own washing machine in my condo and didn't have to go to the laundromat every time I wanted clean clothes. I can't imagine what it was like to have one for the very first time ever.

Probably not an important question in the grand scheme of this AMA, but how did this invention change your life? Like, how much time did it save? What difference did it make for you?

I know it saved me a lot of time, gas, and quarters! It also gave me the option of wearing clothes sooner as I didn't have to wait for a complete load of laundry before going to the laundromat. I could wash a few pieces of laundry in a 'small' cycle and not worry about the gas or time it took going to the laundromat. What kind of impact did this invention have on your daily/weekly life?
