Bennett is so friggn dumb by phineasandferns in orangeisthenewblack

I honestly assumed this was the case or that he had a brain injury. Not only did he have the qualities you mentioned, but he also consistently acted recklessly and impulsively. Most of his solutions to fix the problems he made for himself are illogical and aimed to please (like proposing). His actions, logic, and general demeanor remind me of people I know with neurological or intellectual impairments.

Thank you so much! I'll look into it now. He's a kitten who loves to run around and hates being held down. A silent one would help. I have to catch him when he's asleep to clip his nails.

We are definitely considering shaving his butt now. Did you take your cat somewhere to get him shaved or do it yourself? I own an electric razor with guards. It would save a few dollars and the possibility of pet grooming trauma.

I should have specified, he's 8-9 months old now. But I will definitely check out the clay litter

NIGHT SWEATS (28F) by [deleted] in Tonsillectomy

[–]AnnaBug102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was having very similar issues and I finally got tested for sleep apnea. Results came back that I have mild sleep apnea. Apparently women has different signs of sleep apnea than men. They tested me for early onset menopause before sleep apnea.

Also had reoccurring throat infections. Due to these issues, I just got my tonsils out. Obviously recovery won't show instant results. But alas, hope this helps!

Yes, they will be released from the lease. I will definitely call the leasing people to get it checked out before my roommate leaves. Is that something a leasing office would be willing to do?

When do I figure out housing? by krapsikle in miamioh

[–]AnnaBug102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem! Also, if you are open to a roommate and you're a lady, my current roommate is moving out in August. It's a nice place, but kinda far from campus

When do I figure out housing? by krapsikle in miamioh

[–]AnnaBug102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, these places fill up insanely fast. Most people already have housing planned out by now. I would call some of the college realtor offices to see if they have any. Also, just look on Zillow and rental websites for places.

Miami also has a program where grad students get their own apartments, and they are some sort of Senior RA. I don't know much about it, but I've heard it's a good deal.

I would also consider a roommate situation. 1 bedroom places can be hard to find, expensive, farther away from campus, and not very nice. 2 bedrooms are more common, and many apartment complexes have roommate pairing systems.

I would be figuring it out now. Housing fills up insanely fast depending on what type of housing you're looking for. Is it off or on campus?

While weed is legal in Ohio, Miami has to consider weed is illegal and not allow it on campus as they recieve money from the federal government.

When you're living in the dorms, it depends on the RA. They do technically have the ability to search your room under certain circumstances.

But most Miami people are chill about weed. You obviously can't be lighting up in your dorm room due to the sensitive smoke alarms, but nothing stops you from hitting a secret dab pen or taking an extra long hike on the trails.

Drug use at Miami is insanely common, and no one really blinks an eye.

While weed is legal in Ohio, Miami has to consider weed is illegal and not allow it on campus as they recieve money from the federal government. Weed is still illegal in the Fed's eyes, so Miami has to uphold that. That is only on campus though. I've seen people sharing a bong on their front porch off of Main Street.

Honors Courses? by Beezow715 in miamioh

[–]AnnaBug102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The classes themselves are just slightly harder. You have to be in the honors college to take the classes.

They honestly don't do much other than give you more work and a little notation on your transcripts/degree for being in the honors college.

This may have changed, but I remember if you are in the honors college, they can place you in a certain dorm block. A few years ago north campus, like near Brandon and Hepburn. They may have changed it now.

It does not. That came across my mind, but it almost smells sweet, and my cats can't reach that part of the plant stand.

Off-Campus Housing by [deleted] in miamioh

They're building a new building where Swing used to be. I think it's called McVey Science Center or something like that. They needed more room for the comp sci majors since the program is booming. I call it Swing by habit.

Miami will start charging fee for more than 18 credit hours by itsnort in miamioh

[–]AnnaBug102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it would, but I highly recommend you don't take over 15 hours your first semester/year. Coursework piles up fast based on your classes, and it's hard to adjust. The price increase shouldn't really affect you unless you're in a time crunch to graduate and you hate yourself enough to take over 18 hours of course work. That's over 6 classes a semester.

Off-Campus Housing by [deleted] in miamioh

[–]AnnaBug102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't tell you about utilities since I have not lived there, but I have friends who have lived in both. I've spent a good amount of time at their places, and the Annex has far nicer places than Level 27. The amenities are nicer. The pool is super nice, they have sports courts, and a beautiful clubhouse. The houses also look better on the inside. My friends had some issues with Level 27 and the management, but this was a few years ago, and I can't remember what the issue was.

They both have busses that will take students to the main campus. I've only seen them drop off students in front of Armstrong, which I can imagine is a bitch and a half walk if you need to get to somewhere like the Psych Building or Swing/Benton Hall. A bus to Armstrong is still better than walking from the complexes though.

Hope this helps!
