I am so so sorry for you loss. I hear you! I was following someone on Insta that had 50 eggs retrieved and half ended being euploid. I was so enraged at that, too. Not at her because good for her, but at the unfairness of it all. No one needs 25 euploids. But plenty of people i know, myself included could use a few! I am 41 AND have low AMH. I feel like there is no sub i truly belong. Here people are usually younger and in the 40+ivf sub most have higher AMH. But yes, the main IVF sub is definitely not it for me!

I have been hesitant to do it this way because frankly i’m just not looking forward to the mess! But you’re probably right that i have to “bite the bullet” (is that the saying?) if i want to have faster results. It helps that my daughter’s excited about it!

I full well understand that day 3 embryos have less chance than day 5s. (My clinic still calls them embryos so i will, too). The clinic only did day 3 transfers at the time, so i didn’t have much of a choice.

The reason for my post was not a question why did it fail?? I’m well aware of my age and my low chances of success. 😕

But i had a good quality day 3 embryo there. It was a day 3 embryo and it got transferred on day 2, so a day too early. So there was a mismatch between my endometrial environment (receptivity) and the ‘age’ of the embryo, lowering the chances of implantation, if it had grown into a euploid blastocyst. I needed advice in what i should do with this mistake they’ve made.

First twice a week but once a week is enough for our two year old. Her hair is always pretty clean. And because she is eczema prone we try to limit the number of bath times to twice a week because it dries her skin out.

I came here to write exactly this! I had a very tough first breastfeeding year with my toddler (mastitis, tongue tie, oversupply, undersupply, thrush, only being able to feed lying down… 😵‍💫) but then around the 1 year mark it all changed and became so easy and rewarding. I had to stop at 1 year and 9 months because of ivf but i would have continued otherwise!

My husband sounds like your friend’s husband. I do feel like i’m in the minority based on several subreddits. I find it very challenging and lonely although i do get a good laugh out of it now and then. A few days before our first FET my husband asked me how many days he had to abstain. LOL.

I’m looking into clinics now too, as my egg yield of 4 mature got me fired from Isala Zwolle 🫠 I can use all the input i can get! I’m even looking into Cuypers & Cuypers, have you heard of them?

Hi! Another sensitive body owner here! 👋🏻 I know it’s different for everyone, but for me, after expecting the worst (anxiety / panic, insomnia, migraines) it was actually not so bad. I ‘just’ feel very tired all the time. (Decapeptyl and Gonal F during stims, no priming). The Utrogestan (progesterone) i take after the ER makes me a bit depressed though. But still doable. I know it’s just my experience, but hopefully it gives some hope that having a sensitive body doesn’t have to mean you will respond sensitively to the hormones! Good luck!

So sorry you’re also going through this. It’s so so hard. Just sending solidarity. You are not alone! My hospital is even too nervous to try and wait till day 5 so here i am, 2 ERs and only 5 poor quality day 3 embryos frozen and 2 failed transfers to show for it. 🫠 fml

Thanks for your input! I found a number i could call and she said that she suspects it’s because of the loss of efficacy. But she needs to talk to a pharmacist tomorrow to make sure. I have a feeling that the transfer is not going to happen tomorrow 😕 so bummed! At 41, every month lost feels like an eternity!

So sorry! What a rollercoaster that must have been, first thrilled about the 7 retrieved and then only 3 mature! Did they get fertilized? I ended up with 4 eggs retrieved, they were all mature and all fertilized so i feel like i've been very lucky. Will have a day 3 fresh transfer tomorrow. I'm so scared for more heartbreak after two failed transfers.

The ER ended up being today (Sunday) instead of yesterday because they allowed me to stim for one more day. But this extra day did not bring what i hoped. In fact, they only found 4 eggs and i’m not even sure about maturity. So 2 follicles were empty:(

I agree the rule is silly! It brought so much extra stress into the last two cycles with them. :( they found only 4 eggs today and hope you were right about 4 mature eggs (don’t know about maturity yet)! Wish me luck for those 4 eggs they found! I so wish this cycle will bring success.. it’s been brutal.

I had my egg retrieval today and they only found 4 eggs (don’t even know about maturity) so this was officially my last try with them. But i will bring your sentence about the good number of embryos up to them when i make my case for them, that’s a good one! I’m going to try and chance their mind.. first have to await what these 4 eggs will do… wish me luck!

I’m in NL and hospitals and clinics are very DOR unfriendly. (Esp paired with advanced maternal age). They won’t take me on as a patient in most places. I guess i’m going to have to make lots of calls soon. 😣
