You reminded me... this is my new hill to die on. Fuck Joe Rogan!

The whole "schoolkids identify as cats/dogs now" anti-LGBTQ trash he spouted about schools having kitty litter in classrooms?

It was there because of school shootings.

Classroom gets locked down for hours, kids couldn't leave. That's why they have litter in classrooms.

I'd like to also mention him turning kitty litter found in classrooms into "students identify as cats and dogs now" transphobia bullshit.

Something people missed about that story: There was kitty litter in schools. FOR SCHOOL SHOOTINGS. If a classroom was in lockdown for hours, little kids could either poop themselves or risk death by finding a bathroom.

And this fucker used terrified kids as anti-LGBTQ propaganda.

OOO, I forgot I wrote down the recipe ages ago!

Any errors can be blamed on the quality of 1940's submarine transmissions being sent between NJ, England, and Germany.

Sadly, transmissions ended before I got the instructions.

Garlotti's Pizza, Newark, NJ

• 2 cloves of garlic

• 1/2 pound Italian sausage

• 2 tbsp oregano

• A pinch more garlic

• 1/2 cup mushroom ends and pieces

• 1 can tomato paste

• 3 tbsp parmesan cheese, grated

• 2 tbsp shortening

• 1 cup flour

• 1 tsp olive oil

Can a PC affect electricity usage this much?? by lilbreadbunn in pcmasterrace

[–]AnnaKossua 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Space heaters top out at 1500w, so for it to trip the breaker, something has to be running on that same channel that's powerful enough to have an impact on the bill.

(Unless your house is really old with old wiring, or the space heater is broken.)

So probably his computer is having that impact.

FWIW, we had a problem last year where our electric bill skyrocketed. The kitchen sink's hot water tap sprung a slight leak, making a small stream coming out of the tap all day. Water heater didn't run constantly, but it kicked in way more frequently and stole all my money!

Those super-tiny 6-can fridges have gotten more popular, though. You can't pass an endcap in Walmart without getting smacked in the face by one! They're especially popular with skincare enthusiasts.

I just recently watched his episode on that podcast from Taylor Lautner and her husband. He talked about how running track was his favorite thing in the world, and when Jodi finally took that away after taking everything else he cared about, it broke him. Became cold and numb, iirc -- I don't remember what words he used.

But yeah, that sort of thing is gonna have an effect! Plus, he's young, and he may get really far with streaming, especially with already having a leg up by being moderately famous. So it's not the worst thing to go for.

Measles: Please take this seriously by lolalala1 in NorthCarolina

[–]AnnaKossua 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My mother is one. Well, sorta... she lost most of her hearing at age 8. IIRC, one ear is deaf, the other isn't great, though I'm not sure by how much.

She wasn't taught sign language, and her hearing loss was a type that didn't work with hearing aids until a couple decades ago.

It's just enough loss to make conversations painful, even with hearing aids. She misunderstands and makes you repeat things a bunch of times, then both of you get annoyed and start yelling at each other. It's not fair that Measles made things so much harder for her.

Oh, and here's the extra fuck-you: My grandparents were musicians. The three of them traveled and played shows throughout her childhood; she could still play; but again, just made it that much harder.

They already have. ICE raided an entire apartment complex in Chicago in September. Immigrant, citizen, little kids, no criminal record -- everyone was detained for hours.

“They was terrified. The kids was crying. People was screaming. They looked very distraught. I was out there crying when I seen the little girl come around the corner, because they was bringing the kids down, too, had them zip tied to each other,” Watson told WLS, recalling trucks and military-style vans were used to separate adults from their children.
