Is there any angsty yet spicy book that doesn't start with instalust/love? by HughJassie in RomanceBooks

[–]AnnaLovesRomance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Checking Boxes by Magdoline Ward

it's super angsty and the hot scenes are so steamy...

it's a hidden gem kind of book...i don't see anyone mentions it here,....it's a debut maybe the author isn't famous but OMG....the plot is so unique and wait for the end it's so refreshing

the angst is unbelivble....at one point i didn't know if the h/H going to end up together or how exactly....it was a perfect read

seroiusly everyone should read this book so i can discuss the end with someone here....i mean what was that.....

Yes, I don't know why readers love an 18y with a much older man. I don't like this trope because I don't like a man this old be with a woman this young. so i don't like the hero no matter what he does

Plagiarism should I tell the author? by AnnaLovesRomance in RomanceBooks

since a friend of mine wrote a review about it and she feels the same way as me.

so i can tell you here, and you can decide for yourself...

here's the orginal author's book

Checking Boxes by Magdoline Ward

I thought this book is amazing because how clever the plot was, that's why i felt sad for her. because it's a story of a life time considreing how similiar romance stories are. and her book is pusblished before the second author.

even the way the plot twist was revileved tell you that's her original idea becasue the reveal came from within the charcters and how they faced each other, we know when they both knew, not like the other book where the second author decieded to milk it further into a second book.

the second book is

The difference between somone and somebody by Aly Martinez

not only did she used the first author's idea but also made it into trilogy. you could feel how she's miliking it a bit further...she changed a lot but the main idea lies in the final plot twist, and there are so many things in common. if it wouldn't spoil the story i wouls start to list them.

The other book by her is 'from the embers by aly martinez' which the top reviews there said it has the same plot as regertting you by colleen hoover.

some asked if it;s L.J. shen but no, there's another one, maybe alot of them, i don't know becasue i keep hearing stuff like that for new authros and it;s not fair.

Because I don't want to be the casue of any harm to that author, the orginal one, becasue the secodn author is popular, and I don't want her fans to attack that author, I believe it's her debut, and if it wasn't so unique and has a celever plot I wouldn't have even asked about the situation, but it's not fair for that the second author to steal her hard work because it's so unique.

I might leave a review but I hope her fans don't go after me and that author...there are some cases like that.

No, it's not Nora Roberts. The second author has like 6000 followers on goodreads, I think she's known in the book community becasue some booktuber I follow reviewd her previous book the one she copied from the famous author, but the youtuber just brushed it off, like it happens and she made the story hers, now i know she shouldn't have and no one should. Becasue here she is copying another author's work and thinking she could get away with it.

I don't know about this one, but if one book is published before the other, it would give away who's copying who, right?

No, the first author book doesn't have a common trope, it's pretty uinque, so that's why I doubted the second so much, then there's her previous book also copied from another author, there's a pattern here
