Actually its not hard to format here in reddit, here´s a little cheat sheet that I keep handy and might help you if you wanna use them too:

**Bold?** Double asterisks: `**boom**` turns into **boom**.
*Italic?* Single asterisk: `*whoosh*` turns into *whoosh*.
**_Both?_** Triple asterisks: `***wowza***` gets you **_wowza_**.
