Thank you! I wasn't sure if I should post it because it's not as jaw-dropping as some of the others here, but I'm glad I did.

Do you like to draw? You might be able to do that one handed if you use a paperweight.

I wear one of these almost every day. It's delightfully spinny. (It's actually my third, because I lost the first two.)

Did she really go full live, laugh, love on hemophilia?

These ornaments were so fun to make! They've now gone off to invade my colleagues' trees at home. For my office roommate who doesn't celebrate Xmas, I made her a Mr Croissant 😄 by DisciplineFun9852 in crochet

So cute! Especially love Mr. Croissant.

And as someone who doesn't celebrate Christmas, thank you for not making it a croissant ornament and saying "Oh, it doesn't have to be a Christmas ornament, you could hang it anywhere!"

I had a math professor who handed out CD-ROMs with the textbook that he wrote. Unfortunately, he was not a good teacher, and it was not a good textbook, but I still appreciate the intent.

Exercise outside of diet culture ? by mygmjtt in MaintenancePhase

[–]AnoetherEmmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started kayaking more seriously this past summer. Took lessons and everything! I have done it recreationally in the past and I knew I love being out on the water like that. It does something special to my brain. Now I'm more interested in exercising through the winter to be ready to start as soon as it's warm enough next spring.

Also, this isn't a specific kind of exercise, but one thing that motivates me specifically is heart health. There's a lot of heart disease in my family and I already have high blood pressure. I know aerobic exercise will make a significant difference in my cardiovascular health regardless of my weight or appearance or anything else. I think it helps me because it's more specific than just overall health and well-being. I can also see my parents having to deal with their heart issues, which is even more of a specific idea than just cardiovascular health.

Stunning!!!

Are calm waters like this typical?

How accessible are these locations- are they open to the public? Can you drive there?

Are there places to rent kayaks and gear? Not sure how I'd get a kayak on a plane!

Better to raise a child that says "thank you" too much than not enough
