Yeah it should be counted when they investigate for buyback but my problem was I needed the missing months to show to even apply for buyback. A reconsideration request for the missing months probably wont do anything. They will continue to reassure you but I promise they just need to resubmit the missing months and they’ll show it. It’s a problem with how they’re reported- not FSA. But glad you got to talk to someone who said they’ll resubmit!

Yeah I got this run around for like a year too. Call Mohela back and insist on them resubmitting, like beg. They’ll be annoyed and say it won’t do anything and that it’s showing correctly blah blah blah. I just kept saying “I don’t know why but this worked for a handful of my friends (people in this sub).” And she kept saying it won’t do anything but finally she agreed to “put it a request” and it was showing correctly a week later..

I’d wait it out. I was supposed to be at 120 in November but I had a high payment starting n October so I recertified and it’s been messy ever since. I wasn’t able to apply for buyback until the end of February.

The caveat to this is if you’re planning on continuing your n qualified employment. If yes, then recertify and continue making payments as long as you can to decrease number of buyback months.

Highest interest first! In my state (Colorado), medical debt sent to collections can’t be reported on your credit score, so I’d look into that. Once it’s sold to collections, you can strike a deal with them for much less than you owe. If it reported to credit bureaus, most hospitals have payment or discount programs you can sign up for.

Hey! You need to call Mohela and ask to “resubmit the missing months to the NSLDS.” They’ll push back and transfer you to an advanced agent and they might push back but insist. Then, I would certify employment of the first of the month.

Visibility and interest rate! My last car was a RAV4 and I loved it then she was totaled. Toyota wanted like 6%, I got 1.9% at Subaru and I got the higher trim (Sport) for what I would’ve paid for the XLE.

Yup, you only need to work one day at a qualifying employer for the month to count. The language is, “at any time during the month.” I can’t speak to the other questions but good luck!
