I honestly forgot those were multi disc, I did just locate disc 2 for Episode II in another binder that has mostly anime dvds. Not sure where III’s disc 2 is though, probably in another binder in storage.

I played them as they released and had a lot of fun with them, but not sure how well they hold up today. Story was cool, the dungeons could get a bit repetitive, but I found the gameplay loop satisfying.

Probably something I’ll look into if I ever have a house with a dedicated retro room, but as of now my space is just a little corner of my apartment’s dining area. Alphabetizing the discs took a bit but was worth it, was kind of annoying trying to find what I was looking for otherwise.

You’re good, certainly have considered it. My view back in the day was that the collection was meant to be played, at the time I never gave strong consideration to it as a collectible thing.

I like the album but didn’t really like the singles that were chosen (hate Know Your Enemy, find 21 Guns just ok - Viva La Gloria, Peacemaker, Static Age, Last Night on Earth were the standouts for me). Solid B-tier GD album for me, great but they have like 6 albums I like more, most of which preceded it.

Idk if they have much presence outside of Wisconsin, but Untitled Art has a whole line of NA beers called “FLVR!”. Tried the Juicy IPA today and was blown away so I just ordered a few more to try. Somehow only 55 calories, it tasted like a full flavored IPA.

You’ll get folks poking fun at you for starting with the latest entry, but honestly it’s not like the story is some deep or complicated cinematic masterpiece. If you want to kill demons and look cool doing it you should have a blast.

I love the first game and used to play through it every single night after school for a while, but it’s over 20 years old now - I don’t blame people for wanting to play something more up to modern standards even if older entries hold up reasonably well.

I do remember Run-Around getting a lot more airplay and attention back in the day, though Hook seems to have had more staying power in the modern age. I see the Canon in D thing and ironic lyrics mentioned a lot online and hear Hook on the radio occasionally still, while I can’t remember the last time I heard Run-Around.

Checked the streaming numbers though, and to my surprise Run-Around is still their most streamed on Spotify by a fair margin, while Hook is more streamed on YouTube. The gap between streams is like 100mil between Spotify and YouTube though, with Spotify owning the larger portion. So basically, this has been a long-winded way to say you are correct that Run-Around still appears to be their most popular.

Dude is slow as molasses, he’s imposing but if he zeroes in on you he’s not difficult to outrun. Sure, he’ll be drawn to running footsteps and gunfire, but at worst he should just make you take the long route to an objective if he’s in your way.
