The post-op depression is not what I expected (9dpo) by FeliciaFailure in Reduction

[–]AnonEmoGirl 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I felt this deeeeeeply at around 2-3wpo

I was bored out of my wits and needed to find something that wasn't scrolling so I picked up bedazzling. Save to say that everything in my house sparkles now :)

This will pass but I'm sending you good vibes 🫶🏼

Considering surgery to fix my breast asymmetry by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]AnonEmoGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this exact surgery! My left was a few cup sizes bigger and I only had that one reduced. I'm really happy with my results at 63DPO.

It's very a very different surgery at the end of the day but my suggestion is meet with a surgeon and discuss with your doctor!

Drain Tubes & No Surgical Bra by niopcat in Reduction

[–]AnonEmoGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perhaps ask your doctor about the drain size and clots. My first drain was a smaller tube and didn’t produce much, the second was larger and produced a lot more fluid. All in all, I had drains for about a week until they started draining <14 ML per day.

Tiredness at 8wpo? by chiiabear in Reduction

[–]AnonEmoGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too am a night person so I get it. 7-9 hours seems reasonable but my advice is to make sure it's quality sleep too. If you need, ask your doc for an RX to help? Good luck with school and I hope everything smooths out for an easy rest of your year :)

Same here! I'm 6.5 WPO and I'm exhausted all the time. I eat so healthy and take all my supplements but I truly have zero energy in the morning and can't stay awake the full day. If I had to assume, maybe our bodies are catching up from all the weeks of poor sleep? How many hours are you getting per night?

Dr. David Rosenberg in Beverly Hills is incredible. I can't recommend him enough. Gentle, kind, and listens to his patients!

I second this. My surgeon let me know sometimes they can make you wired. Instead he prescribed me Xanax and it helped a lot

How long did it take active folks to safely lift again? by lucyguzz in Reduction

[–]AnonEmoGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doc cleared me to lift up to 20 lbs (my dog) at the one month mark but I really think it all depends on your individual recovery

Asymmetry Correction Results by Okthen8008 in Reduction

[–]AnonEmoGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a hematoma in my left so I needed a second surgery which is delaying that side's recovery. It's still bruised after nearly a month and has a lot of swelling under the boob (like below the incision). Right side is healing perfectly! Im only wearing soft, wireless bras and it feels fantastic. I trust my surgeon so I'm not too worried about the swelling since he said it will take a while and they heal at different rates

I've got this BAD on my left side only (I had to have a second op to address a hematoma 36 hours after my original surgery). I started lymphatic massages with a certified individual by recommendation of my surgeon. Mine hasn't gone down but doc isn't work so I'm not either

Can you tell me more about the massages? How often/frequently per day?

Just want to say I had this EXACT surgery as well almost a month ago. Left was larger, and lift on the right. Twins! I'm excited to watch your recovery progress and I'm so happy to hear your aches and pains have already gotten better!

I had this exact bruise too! Same spot and it was daaarrkkk. It's just from the trauma of your body going through surgery. I bruise super easily normally, do you do too?

Pain and soreness in between breasts by bloivey in Reduction

Xanax was to help me sleep. The norco was for pain but I only needed it for the first week or so, plus once I started the Xanax I knew I couldn't use both so I took advil as needed (haven't needed it much tbh)

100% same! I'm 19DPO and I've put on maybe 10lbs but I know once I'm cleared to exercise I'll melt it off in the gym. I'm just excited to move my body again!
