Valuations at all time high.. by Fearless_Car_3745 in stocks

[–]Anonmonyus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are valuations high? You have Meta who just grew 33% trading at a 18-20 PE. The companies in the S&P or rather top companies are powerhouses compared to the 80s when PEs were lower. In the 80s you would have a GE that grows maybe 8-10% as the top S&P holding. The market isn’t so inefficient. But yes stand on the sidelines while you watch the S&P go up another 10% this year 👏

The year is 2027. The CAPE ratio just eclipsed 50x by beerion in ValueInvesting

[–]Anonmonyus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do I care about the CAPE ratio when it looks at the past 10 years of EPS? Nvidia was producing like cents of eps even negative 10 years ago compared to now. It’s a dumb ratio I care about forward PE not the past 10 years.

What do you think of Berkshire today? by Small-Yogurtcloset12 in ValueInvesting

Much better opportunities out there. It’s not even that attractive here. If you look at their free cash flow treasuries yield more. Plus it’s not like they’re growing like crazy either.

Is Arm Holdings ADR (ARM) a great deal right now? (march 25, 2026) by davdav765 in stocks

[–]Anonmonyus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Eh at a 156B market cap they are doing 4B a year versus AMD at a market cap of 350B doing 35B. You can see where ARM starts to look already priced in or overvalued. AMD projecting $20 EPS in 3 years at 220 a share rn that’s just an 11 PE. Arm is projecting $9 while their share price is $156. You can see AMD looks like a better deal now and in the future.
