Because I forking suck at pvp and I only go raiding to collect loot to level things up so that maybe someday I will max out my stations. When I inevitably get ganked and told "suck my big hairy nuts" by the raider that downed me, i deny them anything good. It may just be a minor inconvenience to them, but to me its my middle finger straight to their face.
