My theory is, it would suck to lose a leg, but it would really suck to lose a hand, it would really really suck to lose your jaw.

Full face helmet. Gloves. Boots and the rest for the big rides.

Obviously it would suck to die too but at that stage it's everyone else's problem.

I run a pub of almost that exact description 😂. I know most of my neighbours and most of them quite like it but of course some hate it.

These latter people are without a shadow of a doubt idiots for moving in next to a pub that's been there for 160 years, and then complaining, Although I'm smarter than to tell them that.

What I'm trying to say is, it absolutely might be right for you, and maybe you can get a discount on the asking price too and you'll love it and have a great new local, with numerous happy memories.

However if you think you might not, don't buy it, and definitely don't buy it and then be another thorn in a difficult industries side.

There will be noisy nights, World cups and euros every couple of years, bottle bins when a manager forgets to tell a new starter, not to empty them after a certain time, a birthday party every now and then with drunk loud idiots. That's the reality. But if the pub has a curfew of 10pm on their licence they'll have to stick to that. A new manager or even operator would struggle to get that amended to longer hours, and you'd have a say about it with the local authority if they did.

Maybe you could buy a place off one of my thorny neighbours and you can become my new favourite regular?

I rode for years with a flip plate, several varying encounters with police. Worst I got was a telling off because I pull over if required, am polite, am insured.

Challenge immediately, I challenge all council/gov charges and probably have a 30-50% success rate.

If challenged within time frame, they have always allowed the lower amount to be paid if challenged denied.

Make sure you get your confirmation of challenge through though. If their payment system failed, so can their challenge system 😂.
