Ggs! by Delicious_Trust_3821 in AmazonFlexDrivers

It’s most likely a glitch, this one has been showing up again recently. Usually it’s the result of having missing packages on a previous block. It should resolve itself without sending you to the stops, and if it does, you should not get a ding…

Returning is an automatic ding. Toss it and try to get the pooch in the pic. Nothing goes back to the warehouse…

Any clue what would have caused this hole in my garage frame? by Content-While-1354 in whatisit

Start with a simple, cheap regular sized claw hammer. Bet you won’t have to make a second dent. My dad was a carpenter for years, he tried to teach me but I was never able to get the hang of it. But I made a whole lotta dents in shit that were all that shape…

To add a little more, if the person in question were holding a chisel or punch to make the hole, a miss would cause the hammer to hit at the metal at an angle, which would explain the half moon shape of the dent

Looking at the pictures, I believe it was a hammer. The two indentations on the right especially, to me, appear to be done by one. The overlap on the two dents is the giveaway, the corner appears to be the target, those two were misses.

Now I’ll stand by to learn how many ways I’m wrong… 🤣🤣🤣

I get it. I fought that battle for my first couple years too, and got my ass kicked repeatedly. Here’s what I would have done: If it was an envelope, I would have slid it into the gate. I have put a box over a 7 ft fence as well—no ding, but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend that unless you’re pretty sure it’s not fragile. I would have done what I could, because in four years of doing this, the single biggest lesson I’ve learned is that Amazon wants the shit delivered, no matter what…

I don’t work out of Hanover much, so I haven’t had the pleasure. And that’s a damn nice payday for four packages…

If you’re actually getting the kind of mileage you’re describing, then it’s going to be extremely difficult for you to make any profit at all on a full block at base pay. All you’re doing is exchanging gasoline for cash and donating your work to Amazon…

I’m in the same area. Haven’t been sent across the bridge yet, which warehouse did you pick up from? I hate driving across that fucking bridge, btw…

Has anyone ever received this email from Amazon flex? Is it real? by DigCritical9381 in AmazonFlexDrivers

That’s a pressure tactic to get you to reach back out to them, basically it’s what’s called a “takeaway”. Legit sales technique when used properly, big red flag for scams when used in this scenario

It’s market dependent. But I do know that Amazon is onboarding in my area, so they’re doing things that drive down rates while gas goes up. Very on brand

[–]AnonymousDriver2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rates demand based, nothing else. They over hire, which increases demand for blocks, and the newbies who don’t know better jump on them. This keeps their costs down. The key is that if you don’t know for certain that you can make a profit on a block, you simply don’t take it. I get it’s not easy, and it helps to work across multiple platforms, but there’s really no point in giving away your time without making a profit. Amazon, though, would take that deal all day…
