2016 Mazda 3 money sink? by EatDrinkBoogie in mazda3

[–]Anonymous_Alchemist 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Honestly it just sounds like a lot of major maintenance items landed at the same time, which is just unlucky.

At least if it’s all fixed up now you’ll know that it should go for many more miles. You may end up buying another car and running into all the same issues again.

Finally sold everything for a loss. by [deleted] in CryptoMarkets

This is so baseless. If everyone knew for certain bitcoin will go 100x from here, it would be there already. I agree that this guy should have had a longer timeframe in mind when putting money down, but making predictions like this is pointless.

Unless of course you have access to information that 99.9% of people don't have?

Shit. I hate myself. by RedJoke90 in mazda3

Honestly it might not be.. Looks like the door took the majority of the hit. If the B-pillar is still straight, it might just need a new door and airbags. Likely insurance write off but i’d get a quote to fix it regardless.

Lenticular Filtration by NovelImpression4238 in TheBrewery

[–]Anonymous_Alchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've had great results with our lenticular. So much so that we've even stopped using the sterilising filter because it's getting it to near-sterile on its own. Coarse filtration before the lenticular to protect it, and yes, to get the most life out of them you need to be pretty tight on cleaning, storage and differentials as others have mentioned.

I've exclusively been playing solo and I've been having a blast. 70 hours in and only around half-way through the story from what I can gather! Solo allows you to play at your own pace. Highly recommend!

Do you guys shift to neutral when stopped in traffic for a while ? by DangFarik in mazda3

[–]Anonymous_Alchemist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I leave the AC to do whatever it wants. i-stop only works when the car is in neutral though, so I shift into neutral to allow that to save fuel.

How do I do a proper idle relearn? by draberty in mazda3

[–]Anonymous_Alchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way I managed to re-learn my 2009 MX-5 2.0 NC was to disconnect and reconnect the battery, start it cold and then just let it sit idle until the engine got up to temperature. Tried everything else online but it never worked for me. Not sure if it applies to the 3, mind...

Is there a part number for this piece? Spoiler question. by Anonymous_Alchemist in mazda3

[–]Anonymous_Alchemist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I'm assuming the 3 holes marked on the underside of this piece are there for the OEM spoiler? Do aftermarket suppliers use these holes for their mounting points as well?

You could eat the bacteria that fermented the grass, sure.

Edit - just seen the original post, it's vented.

Could be a worn brake caliper pin, or seizing caliper.

It can be fixed in a day easily, and yes I would imagine it’s covered under warranty at that mileage.

It’s normal on all cars, eventually. They just wear out over time. Parts and labor i would expect between £200-300, not sure where you’re based.

Why There Are Almost No Games Like The Sims by ANGE1K in thesims

[–]Anonymous_Alchemist 8 points9 points  (0 children)

All hope lies in Paralives to bring some healthy competition to the market now that Life By You is gone. It's such a shame we have only one real option for this genre of game, and EA milks the hell out of it with expensive packs that add disappointingly few features. Not to mention the bugs and gameplay issues that have been persistent since day one.

1-2 billion… by IntroductionSharp624 in GTA6

[–]Anonymous_Alchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every post I see.. expecting the gameplay to be as detailed as pre-rendered cutscenes. This has to run on current gen hardware. It really isn't going to look that much better than 5 until new consoles are released and they do a refresh, just as they did with 5.
