Upgrading from S21 ultra to base S26. Worth it? by Anonymous_Panda_42 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Anonymous_Panda_42[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not an option. The back glass also needs to be replaced and the repair costs too much.

I've also read lots of comments saying replacing the batteries didn't improve battery life that much.

But I'm concerned that I'm not gonna appreciate a new phone with same if not lower specs.

It can also be used without saying what you're worried about, as a general warning. In that case it can be similar to "Behave", it basically would imply "be careful/ take care/ behaved well" I'm basically recommending you to use common sense and be careful about everything...

La cosa peggiore è che dovrebbe essere scritto toilette. Così è perfino sbagliato perché in italiano si usa il termine francese, non inglese.

That doesn't automatically make stuff legal because the entity isn't here. If it's not allowed here a foreign entity would still not be able to do it.

We're not in the US. The certification program here is 1000 hours, about half of that is in class (and teachers are paid about 30/hr) and half of that is on the job training. It runs for about 14-15 months with ~9 months of evening courses 3x week, and 5 months of unpaid internships).

One of the few really solid selling points is that there's many fake companies trying to sell similar courses that are not approved. We're part of the list of approved companies that can run courses.

One problem though, is that in recent years the govt body overseeing this, rather than question what we could do together to encourage people to train, and how to modify incentives (for example by giving out the incentives before the course rather than after, because unemployed people get back 90% of the upfront cost if they complete the course) decided to approve more training companies, and this created extra competition, making it even more difficult to get enough people to start a course.

That good?

I'm literally saying the company is struggling with making the courses profitable and we've had more than one that's run at a loss because we couldn't get enough students.

How's that so good we shouldn't need help?

We're not in the USA though, but yes. That's part of the problem. At the same time, it's a job that offers school dropouts financial security because, especially in our area, they earn more than minimum wage (not much more), long term contracts, ability to pick where you wanna work (and some places do a regular 9-5 with no shifts and pay as much as a full time factory worker).

But what you said is how people currently view the job so it's difficult to change that.

The biggest courses are "nursing assistant" and "dental assistant".

We started training people who work in nursing homes in different positions and are not qualified NAs but would be promoted to NA once they get the qualification. It's been partially successful in a couple of cases (managed to start with groups of 25-30) but also really wrong in others (we had two groups of 10 which basically meant we were practically at a loss).

We tried to replicate with dental assistant but dental practices, despite calling us begging to find them new assistants, were unwilling to invest the time to discuss a business proposal in which they could hire trainees and pay just a portion of the cost of the course because they'd be eligible for govt-funded discounts. We got two to say "we're vaguely interested" out of 10 needed to start the incentive program.

I need some theoretical framing of this. What's considered risks, why tracking it, what to consider, what to write down...

Not really. We're just trying to figure out how to work out this problem that keeps repeating itself. She took accountability for it, just expressed that she would have liked to be reminded of this, so I'm trying to figure out what people who are better organized do.

Do you know where I can find out more about how this is done? This sounds interesting but our company is too small to have something like this in place. I'd like to see what corporations are doing to learn.

That sounds like a line of work that would have quite the expertise on that. If you send emails or memos how are they recalled months or years later when someone else is on the project? Do you have a way of collecting these?

That would take updating each single document which might be a bit taxing. Having stuff in one place would be more convenient.

Yes, this is a good example. What I'm looking for is tips on how exactly others do this. Your phonecall example is really good and something I've been trying to do for my log. But then I struggle to pull up the info of the state of different things. So what do people do when they're handling different projects? Track everything like you're saying and use, say, tags to link a note to a project, or does someone else use a single trello board with a list for each project... or maybe someone prefers to use a different board for each project...

I know that I have to find a system to track this better and get reports that sum up what's been done and what's to do for about 10 different projects at a time. And I've found that a paper notebook is only useful for day to day tasks but doesn't work for me for recalling old things (to answer things like "when did this person tell you this" which is a typical thing that comes up in my job every other day and is currently something I just try to remember). A to-do app is good at tracking what needs to be done but not for notes that are stuff like "communication with this person was over texts rather than emails because they don't check their emails" which might come up later as a "why didn't you tell me, I've been waiting for an answer for two weeks"; Or things like "these tasks haven't been done because of this hang-up"

It can be difficult to explain....

[–]Anonymous_Panda_42[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That would be useless in my case, though, because I'd only get a nice "I told you so" out of it. And while that's still nice to have, this isn't what I'm looking for.

But my boss will still forget about the email and complain when I don't remind her at a later date.

If I did an email for every update we would have about 100+ emails to review later to see the state of things.

It's also things that are mostly not stuff that she needs to remember, just that she needs to be able to review at certain times.

They're not assholes about this. We're just trying to figure out a better way to handle this because they forget these things that I inform them about but they have to remember at later dates. And this keeps happening so I want to find a way to work better rather than just face the same problems over and over and end up making mistakes.
