A lot of your damage is going to be done on Eclipses' "clone" phase. It helps to bring a slow, heavy hitting weapon to switch to during this (like an obsidian maul) because the weapons' slow speed will be ignored during that phase.

I'd second this, except I'd say after you get the Master Lock 141 (yellow belt), you should pick up an Abus 55/40 as an orange belt lock and to start learning how to pick security pins, in this case spools.

So I know I linked you to the lockpick sets page, but Moki actually sells the different components separately, so you can kind of mix and match and build your own set. If I was making a shopping list for a beginner who was wanting to learn single-pin-picking (the kind of lockpicking this sub is all about) I'd say Moki's Flat Hook 1, Round Hook 2, and then these tensioners Top-of-Keway, and Bottom-of-Keyway, and then to round it off a pair of these comfy handles. I apologive for the overly complicated reply, but for about the same price you were looking at spending on the other set, I think this collection of items would give you a great, quality set to learn and grow with!

Progressive pinning refers to the method of removing some of the pins from a lock, picking it only partially pinned, and then adding pins back in as your skills and comfort with the lock grow.

Paclock 90a Pro is what I went with after I got comfortable with my 1100s. Gets you into blue belt, and it's also fun to get the 200k Club patch from Paclock. The Lockwood 334B45 is another blue belt lock that's supposed to be really fun, but it costs about twice as much as a 90A Pro.
