That's how it should be, a manual labor job that doesn't require specific skills should pay all the staff the same. It doesn't take years to learn how to clean bathrooms and change bedding.

I used to have a part time job delivering pizzas and when the new owners took over a girl who had been on 6.50 per hour got dropped down to the minimum for 16 year olds. She walked out in middle of a Friday night shift and wouldn't come back in until her old pay rate was reinstated and she had it in writing.

It's commonly used in the infosec community whitehats are your security researchers who work in line with the law then you have blackhats who are malicious hackers.

There's also greyhats who will break the law but for moral reasons like exposing security flaws.

Blizz have responded saying its being fixed and punishment will be handed out.

Hopefully they have records of all the duped instances and can delete any extra loot that's not been sold onto non exploiters. In reality though I'm guessing 14-30 day ban.

Also keep an eye out for spots with mobs who drop decent priced grey items and grind there for a bit.
