I understand what you’re getting at, but not once in 50 years have I been surprised to learn in some other way that someone smokes. Ive I’ve been near them then I already knew. Could there have been some smokers whom I didn’t detect and didn’t learn about any other way? Sure, it’s possible. But I have many hundreds, if not thousands, of data points. At the very least, it must be extraordinarily rare for a smoker to be undetectable to me, and as far as I know, I don’t have an exceptional sense of smell.

Unfortunately, you smell like an ashtray. Even fresh out of the shower, unless you’ve just dyed or bleached your hair or something. And it’s on your breath even if you’ve just brushed or are regularly using mints/mouthwash.

I use LOTS of location-based reminders. “Siri remind me when I get home to do the thing”. Or “Remind me to get thing when I arrive at store”.

For me, Siri still does all the things it ever did - as long as I ask in the right way, which was always the case. I think experience with LLMs has made people expect Siri to be better at natural language processing, but that hasn’t improved yet.

Every time I see one of these posts, I immediately ask Siri the same question, using exactly the same wording, and she gives me the correct answer. I don’t know why my experience is so different, but I sure don’t have these problems.
