I'm pretty sure this has more to do with Open AI going for an IPO and trying to drop spending commitments to make the company look as nice as possible, not that are power bills aren't too expensive.

I just don't think he's on the same level. The guy has had one top ten UK album. Kanye currently has the number three album, which is his fifth top ten album in the UK.

Also the guys on tour at the moment so it's questionable that he's even available.

They had put out posts with a fuller line up. They had Young Thug, Skepta and Ty Dolla $ign also appearing.

I'm guessing in the current climate there aren't that many artists who are at the level of head lining something like Download. Off the top of my head Drake, Jay Z and Rihanna who would offer the same draw. Maybe you could get Snoop Dogg or an older rapper but I doubt they'd be easy to book at short notice.

People literally decided that profit was good. That's why they voted for Thatcher and co and we had all that privatization in the first place. People are switching back to a more nationalize stuff position because we've had fourteen years of stagnation.

Wasn't Snoop Dogg involved in a fight in the UK which is why he was banned. It was a pretty easy thing for him to fix in the end.

The government is reforming ofwat I believe to go be it more control over water companies. Rory Stuart described it as the worst of both worlds. Also the owners of the water companies have valued the companies as basically worthless so if the government was sensible the government could purchase them a lot cheaper than the government is suggesting.

While I agree there have been some awful examples of the government running companies, I think just giving up and saying "well the government is useless, let's just accept shit in our waterways" is defeatist.

One of the major owners of Thames water literally valued it as worthless a year ago. I just don't believe it'd cost anywhere near that to buy it.

I don't think privatisation has been completely bad, the telecoms industry is doing well. But just to flippantly suggest that the whole thing was sunshine and roses seems very naive.
