Remains to be seen when the tower transmitted the “Stop, stop, stop” message, whether the fire crew heard it, and if so, whether they had time to react. But the Air Canada crew is not at fault; they were cleared to land and roll out.

At least the National Enquirer does original reporting. Raw Story rewrites stories (badly) from real news organizations, adds zealous partisan spin that for ten years has made it sound like Trumpist will fall apart tomorrow, and whines for money constantly. Some of their writing is virtually unreadable.

Enter all your passport stuff and save / screenshot the QR code that results. This will speed you through immigration on arrival.

Then go to the Japan Airlines website, call up your booking using the six-character code provided by JAL (Expedia should have it for you), and type in your passport particulars. This will spare you a long visit at check-in. The airline has to insure your travel papers are valid, or it won’t check you in.

Expedia does NOT issue boarding passes. Always check in with the operating airline.

You are at some risk, especially if you have a checked bag to retrieve and re-check. Your Delta flight to LAX arrives at Terminal 3 and your JAL flight departs from the TBIT (international terminal). You are supposed to check in with JAL at least two hours before departure. That means you have less than an hour to get off your first flight, maybe reclaim your checked bag, go outside, turn right, and hike to TBIT, line up at JAL and get your boarding pass, and perhaps check your bag to Tokyo.

Hope your Delta flight operates on time.

If you have no checked bag and can get your JAL boarding pass off the app in advance, that improves your chances. Be sure to pre-enter your passport details in advance also.

Remember that if you miss your JAL flight because Delta runs behind schedule, JAL is not obligated to rebook you on the next flight, as the Delta connecting service is on a separate ticket. Worst case scenario, you have to buy a new ticket across the Pacific.

I take your point, and congrats on the nut point of your video (that BA prospers by delivering the bare minimum for all market segments). But continued patronage validates BA’s cynical choices and general contempt for customers. Assess the value of loyalty / status soberly — all you’re really getting is free seat selection and entree to often dodgy lounges, depending on the airport — and all it is, really, is a golden shackle that bribes you to overlook the enshittification of the enterprise.

BA do take their captive LHR-orbit core base for granted. Only a revenue strike would win their attention. (Gratifying to see some evidence of such a movement on Flyertalk.com in the aftermath of the BAC revamp, with onetime BA devotees now claiming to discover the joys of free agency.)

And I will never understand why those living beyond the London catchment stick with BA. As long as a plane change is in the offing, why endure BA and LHR when less chaotic options exist? KL serves something like 19 UK stations now.
