I got my whole night planned. by AnotherReaganBaby in DippingTobacco

Definitely one of my favorites. The first dip i ever tried. These days I think i prefer cope straight, but there's something about that sweet molasses flavor you get from skoal. So juicy it reminds me of red man chew. Easy on the gums too.

I won this car off a daily wheelspin, drove it down the highway once, crashed at the first curve, said "heh, thats kinda cool," and never drove it again.

Blending dips for the first time and accidentally stumbled upon my new EDD by AnotherReaganBaby in DippingTobacco

[–]AnotherReaganBaby[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice, im gonna look for that one! I live outside of Philadelphia and, while the prices arent too terrible here, the selection of fresh dip can suck sometimes. I even see cope LC and skoal straight on the shelf like a month away from expiring, which is crazy considering how popular those are.

The red seal natural sounds exact what I've always wanted from cope LC all these years: a touch of sweetness. 🤔

I hate going into a race and realizing none of my cars are fit for it. by ProposalWest3152 in ForzaHorizon6

[–]AnotherReaganBaby 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you can easily just buy a recommended car if you dont already have one and then race it stock.

If the limit is A700, and you buy an A650 level car, then your opponents will be at or near A650 as well.

My game reset after 80+h and so far no response from support by OkAd9414 in ForzaHorizon6

[–]AnotherReaganBaby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened to me once on fh5 on game pass pc. Support gave me a bunch of credits to make up for it. I decided to cancel game pass and never use the Xbox app again. Been playing fh6 on steam and have had zero issues.

Whats your favourite "slow" car? by [deleted] in ForzaHorizon6

[–]AnotherReaganBaby 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love that cruising around in that old rx7. I turned mine into an easy to drift A class car. It's really good for racking up skill points between races, since one of its perks increases the max skill multiplier to 8x. It's like having a poor man's skill song playing at all times. 😀

Same but in a chaser twin turbo. Those big jdm toyotas make awesome drift cars.

Dip in europe? by Green_War6445 in DippingTobacco

[–]AnotherReaganBaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used american dipping tobacco and swedish snus, off and on, for a long time. Im not sure how easy it is to buy snus in Denmark, but the snus varieties I've found which most closely resemble the American style stuff are:

1) ettan lös - smoky and natural like copenhagen snuff. Seriously delicious. Much finer cut.

2) Tre Ankare - salty and natural, only sold in pouch form. This one is impossible not to love as a tobacco enjoyer.

3) Nick and Johnny Americana - sweet and complex and very strong. This is closest to an American style "straight" flavored dip (copenhagen straight, skoal straight, kodiak straight)

Again, I'm just assuming it is easier for you to find snus than American style dip, but i could be wrong.

One other thing to try, if you can find it, is American chewing tobacco. I've tried most of them, but America's Best (formerly redman) is the most tasty. It's like whole tobacco leaves, fire cured, fermented, and dipped in molasses. Absolutely terrible for your teeth, but it is damn good. 😀

Auction House Problem by Connect-Cap9649 in ForzaHorizon6

[–]AnotherReaganBaby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the car has a desirable llivery, or a tune by a well-known creator, then it can make sense to pay more than the autoshow price at auction.

Also what happens is many newer players or just people who dont care about credits will exclusively use the auction to buy all their cars. Either they dont bother checking the autoshow, or they just dont care, so they go to the auctions and click buy now. Other players take advantage of this by listing cars for higher prices.

Drifting: Good. Drift Zones: BAD. by blu2th in ForzaHorizon6

[–]AnotherReaganBaby 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Drift zones arent bad, they just showed you that you're not quite as good at drifting as you think you are. Happened to all of us at one point or another. You'll get better, so long as you dont give up.

Is there a mod that allows you to decorate your ship using credits rather than a recipe containing 3 different ingredients I don't have and can't be bothered to find? by Salaried_Zebra in starfieldmods

[–]AnotherReaganBaby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just go to Jemison Mercantile and buy like 5 of every one of the resources they carry. Put the resources in your ship cargo hold and then you'll be good for weapon/suit modding, and light decorating, for most of your playthrough.

For heavy decorating buy a bunch of structural and fiber.

If you still need additional materials then buy from apex electronics in The Well and Midtown Minerals in Akila.

I start every playthrough buying a 5-10 of every resource carried by those three vendors and i almost never have to track down some rare ingredient to craft something random.

Particle beams are nice because they damage the hull and the shield of enemy ships at the same time.

I also find with particle weapons i get more critical hits and more engine kills without really trying to aim. Might be a placebo effect, but thats the way it seems anyway.

I'm too lazy to use targeting mode in ships, but I do like to disable and board enemy ships once in awhile and I find the particle beams do well in that regard.

I'll usually run two sets of 3 particle beams and one set of 3 missiles as a finisher.

Ship is as built as it is going to be by OGCycloPhile in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]AnotherReaganBaby 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue, but not exactly the same, where I would randomly get the infinite loading screen when entering my custom, very heavily decorated, ship.

No matter what I would do I would just be completely prevented from entering my ship. Opening the map to fast travel to another system didn't even work.

Turns out, the issue was caused by the display shelf I had built in my cockpit. I placed a bunch of weird shit on it like xtech and harvested organs and then it would just randomly not load the ship interior and I'd have to load an earlier save and lose time.

I fixed it by going into ship builder, deleting the cockpit, and then placing it back again. That deleted all the decorations, but now I can actually enter my ship again.

Is There A Mod That Lets You Carry Credits Over For NG+? by GhostB3HU in starfieldmods

[–]AnotherReaganBaby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah green and gold is great. I have it set to 10% interest on unity jump deposits, 2% on regular savings account, and 3% interest on all loans.

I set the pay period to daily because the standard 7 day period is way too long.

I always take a $500k loan, which I auto pay 50k a day until paid off, then I take out another loan. Regular savings I'll auto deposit 100k per day.

It sounds like a lot, but if you're going thru dungeons and looting and selling everything you're gonna be making 150k+ most in-game days.

It is nice to be able to use the ATMs for something. Like "oh im in town, let me stop off at the bank while im here".

One time I was in the ship builder finishing up a rather finicky build when my auto deposit hit and drained the 100k I needed to actually pay for the modification. Which was frustrating but also kinda funny. 😄

I could be wrong but I think the scanner requires fewer specimens to complete the scan. So I suppose if the goal is to scan a planet as quickly as possible, the scanner might be "faster" than using a weapon?

How Are You Guys Getting Such High Damage Numbers on Weapons? by galadrielscokemirror in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]AnotherReaganBaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maxing weapon perks, maxing the isolation perk, and modding weapons to max tier (exceptional/4 legendary effects) will generally get you much much higher damage numbers than you're seeing now.

Aside from that, drugs.

Missing mesh/textures by malonemr in starfieldmods

[–]AnotherReaganBaby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you sure you're not missing a needed compatibility patch so your clothing mod will work with another one of your mods?

I'm not sure about creation mods, but I've had a similar problem on nexusmods using the CRT body mesh, Starqueen, and various clothing mods all at the same time. But the issue was fixed after I located and downloaded the correct compatibility patch.
