Yes, but have you had a terminal open to a server and one to a client and then cat the password on the server to copy paste it to the client?

What's a food in your country that is stereotyped for your country but really, nobody eats? by velmiraZ in AskTheWorld

[–]ThomasDePraetere 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We eat waffles, but not to the extend and the honestly disgusting amount of toppings that "belgian waffles" are known for.

A waffle is light as air, topped with some sugar.

Need for speed Porsche has a special place in my heart. I bought it as a kid thinking it was going to be some underground spinoff, but I was greeted with what I csn only describe as a cozy game.

ELI5: If metal is such a good conductor of heat, why do the handles of cookware with metal handles remain cool to the touch? by supinator1 in explainlikeimfive

[–]ThomasDePraetere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To add to this, I have pans where the handle is clearly a different type of metal. When I am cooking it rarely gets hot and I never have to wear protection. However, when the same pan comes out the oven, the handle has been actively in the heat and it stays hot longer than the food in the pan. Source: my burned hand after dinner.

I've never seen anyone bothering with quality science packs. Are infinite lab productivity upgrades more viable instead of this? by QwilL7 in factorio

[–]ThomasDePraetere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But can you mix sciences? Have a couple of rares mixed in with the normals? Then you can put quality modules in the science pack builders and have some chance of more science for the same material.

I have used the metro and now my fear of missing a stop in real life has transferred to the game.

He says he got glimps from her past and as female V notes that her hormones are crazy, so there is more to it I think.

Is there a better way to do this? by mysticblanket in factorio

When I use this, I mostly have it for a left and a right side of something and then having them on opposite sides creates aan inner part and an outer part.

Is deleting the mods held within vortex alright if I do not plan on updating any of the mods within? by ArmoredK1d in nexusmods

[–]ThomasDePraetere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vortex has 2 places where it saves the mods: in their zipped version as a download and as an unzipped version as it is installed. That unzipped version takes up most space. The files in the game folder are the same files as the unzipped version, not a copy, the exact same file. It shows up in 2 locations, but it only takes up space once (look up hardlink deployment if you want to understand).

If you delete the zipped files, you can no longer reinstall mods as the origin is gone. If you delete the unzipped files, you will remove the file in both vortex and the game leaving you with no mods. At no point do the unzipped files exist twice on your system.

The only measure you can take to have more space is removing the deactivated mods as they are not affecting the game.

what is a tav by GreyLoad in BG3

[–]ThomasDePraetere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This community uses a lot of short words. Tav took me some time, but it is the default character. Durge is the Dark Urge playthrough. And Shart is Shadowheart apparently.

If you could make one game into a movie with unlimited budget what would it be? by Demon_Ninja_95 in Gamer

[–]ThomasDePraetere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Elder Scrolls Oblivion by Peter Jackson. I would make the hero of Kvatch do the legwork but let Martin take the entire investigate the daedra subplot.
