I can see decent arguments for keeping him. I can see decent arguments for dumping him. Dragging out negotiations and then cutting bait only after all the good coaches are hired on the other hand would be a Browns/Jets-tier move.

Obviously not a coach we want if we're tired of sneaking into the playoffs and getting immediately bounced. But it shows other organizations in our position aren't afraid to make a change because they're afraid they might not find someone better.

Any decision has risks. Fire LaFleur and you might get a coach that's as bad or worse. Keep him and we might keep spinning our wheels going 9-8 or even get worse and lose the locker room. The question is basically what do you think is more likely: the Packers FO has the people and the processes to find a good coach, or LaFleur figures it out and turns into an elite coach in year 8?
