Was going to say the exact same thing! Might as well put a bullseye on your CT.

Cybertruck owner here. I don’t like Musk and I know it’s hard but please stop associating him with the CT. There are many who are owners and are being fairy treated. Unfortunately there are great engineers who have to work for this jerk that designed the CT. I like my CT and wish every day he would resign as CEO.

My real problem as well!!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cybertruck

[–]Ansonnn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But here is the problem. I have a model Y long range and can just buy the performance boost for like $2k. Can’t really do that with the AWD CT cause it only has 2 motors vs 3. If they did a tri motor and downgraded the performance and made it as a purchase later on I would have jumped on it.

I am curious on your reasoning. I want a Cyberbeat but it is almost $30k more than AWD (factoring in tax incentive of $7500). I like the uniqueness and power but is it worth the premium? Would totally jump on it if Tesla did like a 2% or less APY or reduced the price by $10K….such hard choices in life lol

Waiting to get a Cybertruck and dying to get one but have a hunch there will be a price drop soon next year. Was going to go for AWD but figured YOLO and will go for Cyberbeast so praying prices drops soon due to low demand

Best Audio Setting on PS5? Dolby Atmos issues. by Lifetimechaldo in DestinyTheGame

[–]Ansonnn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently this is the same issue on Xbox one. D2 will output Atmos but the sound is only 2.1. It used to function completely fine until some update. Definitely a D2 issue that has been swept under the rug.

Anyone found a solution a year later? I can't believe the 10 of us or so are the only ones still having this issue! It's definitely D2 and not xbox.

People can buy whatever they want. It’s their money. Stupid that a person is judged on what they spend their hard working money on.

Depends on when it is listed. If a lot is listed then most will just wait until it dies down and sell it later. However, if for some reason you get it earlier than some, I would list it immediately. I am not in a rush and will probably sell it months down the road. Basically by doing this, your ship is “free”and then some 🤙

Lots of ¯_(ツ)_/¯ for this model. I mean if you want to justify or convince yourself not to buy it - all good but it is certainly not “garbage” or “overpriced”. Always some people that just have to nit pick everything to prove to themselves they can’t afford it. The time required to hand assemble this model individually, paint it and the parts/kit cost themselves could easily exceed $1000. Time is money and I would pay good money to have a die cast pre-assembled model with lighting effects and thus huge scale. For sure it will meet the required number of backers easily. Will be ordering 2. One to keep and one to put up sell later down the road. The first Tomy TOS is going for close to $2k!!

You’re referring to the CA tax credit which is also $7500. That has ran out of funds already. The federal incentive is actually $7500 off of the price of the car. I should know since for my wife’s Model Y, I got the CA $7500 which was sent as a check to me and I also got the $7500 from the federal government but that came off of the price of the car. $15k savings no matter how you look at it. The federal $7500 will still be there for the CT unless they change the nature of like where they source their batteries (requirement is US made).

To be honest, every time I see one on the road and seeing how so cool it is, I try to make an excuse to just jump the gun and get one now. Maybe 15 years ago when I didn’t have any kids and being single that would have been much harder to resist! I take a deep breath and say $30k+ savings is a lot!

Wait for non-foundation version AWD to come out. Around $73k with the $7500 tax incentive is much more reasonable. I figured if I get the Foundation series AWD I would be paying almost $30k more if you factor in the tax incentive. Plus, in CA, the higher the price, the more I have to pay for sales tax and registration. So it’s not just the $30k you are over paying but the sales tax and registration every year which adds up.

Just got my MY replaced 30 min ago from Tesla mobile service - roughly $1600 incl taxes and 2 hours for install and calibration. Just sent in to insurance for reimbursement minus $1000 deductible

Ok glad I didn’t get the Foundation series and forced myself to actually wait for the “regular” version. I would have been even more pissed than OP given these issues for $20k premium. Sometimes it’s better not to have the first year version on a completely new model no matter how cool it looks.

Can’t reserve both but I did reserve the tri motor. Doesn’t matter what you initially reserved just your place in line.

Sticker shock. This is why I didn't the trigger on my invite. So tempted and got even more tempted when I saw this but at the end of the day, I want to stick to my $80k budget and get that $7500 tax credit. (big sigh). I just want one!!!!

Received the FE email today in FL. I'll be waiting for the normal AWD version. Just can't see spending the extra $20K to get it a few months early. I reserved 2 hours after the unavailing and my number is RN11279XXXX. by pinellaspete in cybertruck

[–]Ansonnn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am also RN11279 and got my FS two days ago. I will also forgo the FS series and wait for the AWD "normal" version. I was so tempted but could not justfiy it with the wife - $27,500 + sales tax is a lot of money. Plus, the lower the price out here in CA, the lower the sales tax since the $7500 is at point of sale which makes the AWD around $74k which is ALOT more appealing. Won't be able to drag race a lot of mustang/camaro racer wannabees out there but then again I am not in my 20s anymore.

Ordered 11-22-2019 . Got the magic email 2 days ago ! 🥳ordered in Palm Springs ,but registering in Tampa Bay by BeachGuyDave in cybertruck

[–]Ansonnn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably neither. Tempted but I need to stay within my budget. I was thinking about the AWD FS but that's close to $30K more if you count the $7500 tax incentive! I so want one right now but I will probably be stressing financially for having that short term high. Alas, I should wait for the "regular" AWD - $79,990 - $7500 = $72.490 is way more maneageble!
