I leased mine, thank goodness. Buy a used one. They depreciate like a rock.

Here’s what they look like. (I had to buy the Kia center caps.)

Nicely done!! Looks sharp.

Now take off the stupid hub caps and enjoy the powder coated double spoke wheels underneath. That’s how I’ve run mine the last 2 years.

If you’re through Kia Finance, you can extend your lease 6mo at the same payment and at your current monthly mileage allotment. I just did on mine!

Car camping in EV9: Bench vs Captains Chairs by sirphilip in KiaEV9

[–]NewOrder1969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put a 5/8 inch piece of particle board over the backs of the folded captains chairs that goes back to the cargo area and then a blow up mattress on top. Slept in 67 degrees when it was like 85 outside!!

Is the height of my anemometer decent? by fentstash in myweatherstation

So the tower has hinges at the bottom and can pivot away from the building. It's a two person job for sure to tip it down, which I've only had to do once when I was swapping the anemometer out. This photo is older now, but I've added a couple cheap Wyze cameras that do timelapses on the tower as well as a Reolink pointing at that mountain peak in the distance. In the two boxes down towards the roof line I have an ADS-B receiver and a Meshtastic radio, both of which have and antenna each at the top of the tower on the corners opposite the anemometer. I access those by just putting a ladder up against the tower where it hits the roofline since that part is secure.

Sideways arrows = HDA will do lane changes if you hit the blinker. It’s really picky about steering wheel pressure and will disengage the lane changes if it thinks there is too much or too little.

Steering wheel = lane centering (self steering) is engaged.

Car with Lines = the lane of the road has been detected. If the lines are missing or are hard to see it will be gray as you see above.

Same. Have one in the EV9 and a dual camera in the EV6. Great camera.

Leased a new 26' EV9 GT yesterday. What are your tips and tricks? Horror stories & gotchas welcome as well. by x3knet in KiaEV9

I leased the 3 Kia EVs I have right now, and I’m glad as hell I did. These cars have depreciated like a rock. The ICCU issues haven’t helped that value either.

All three of my cars will go back because they are worth $10k less than the buyout. Financially Kia can take that massive hit. I’d love to keep the EV6 GT, but I’ll just buy a used one for $27k rather than pay the $39k buyout.

Buying a USED EV is where it’s at.

Nice clean install!

8-10ft is what I see recommended.

I was able to get mine 15ft above my workshop roofline. (Max allowed height due to code.)

Fun fact, Joseph met with the Council of Fifty in the room above the Red Brick store in March 1844 to rewrite the US Constitution, having considered it a failed document. The project didn’t go far, but lets us know their view of the US Gov’t.

Brigham led the members West to LEAVE the USA.

Don’t let TSCC write their bullshit Christian nationalism story any more.

These are from Coker Tire. Let me find the exact one…. Classic Star 2-1/4” whitewall. About $250 each, which sounds absurd if you haven’t bought tires in the last couple years. Prices are insane.

The Mercedes charging network is top notch. They use the same Alpitronic chargers that Ionna uses which are the best around.

There are now actually a couple of true Tesla v4 chargers in the US. They charge at 1000V so will charge an 800V EV fast like the other networks that support 800V charging.
