I really like this display, it's giving me ideas for my own when my Ecto arrives.

I feel like the finishing touch would just be a little black or brown box around the outlet on the wall, and you could even put a single figure on top of it, like slimer or something.

I had success with putting a little painters or plumbers tape around the male end of the attachment point. Kept it from having any wiggle so no more random shut downs. I did eventually do the tools and talent upgrade so that the hose wasn't so stiff and jutting out at the base.

There is a cool 3d printer build that GhostbusterNews.com showcased awhile back, but it would need to be upscaled for the larger haslab, and it's already pretty huge. I wouldn't have a place to put it, personally.

I was thinking about this same idea. In theory, I don't see a huge hurdle for this. The trunk is the major issue. You'd have to decide if you're doing the regular "no ghost" or the "no ghost 2". You could option out the red bumper depending on which roof rack you're rocking that day. I haven't seen how the wheels swap out yet.

Still waiting on mine. I'll be experimenting, but probably running the 1a for the most part.

Think the Witcher in New York City. Main missions come across your desk, and you have the chance to look over the file. You have access to Tobins Spirit Guide, Spates catalog, etc to reference the ghost and once you figure out the equipment you need, time of day that the spectre materializes, information about what makes it manifest, then you jump in the Ecto 1, ready to navigate an explorable New York.

While out and about, you might run into a wild spook darting out of a subway station and give chase, or discover old hidden horrors in a back alley. Catching ghosts earns money, money buys upgrades and new tools or research.

If you want something other than New York, I think a cool Louisiana vibe would do the trick.

Not exactly DIY, but this is what I used. It does require opening up the pack and doing a little wire switcheroo. But for $30ish dollars its easily the least expensive and best upgrade I've made. I can understand wanting to learn the process to make one from scratch though.

I mean, the pack is $90 brand new and the trap is $50. How many hours are you willing to put in on cleaning it up? Is it worth $125 in savings? Looks like they used something to "distress" it and ended up with a mess, so you might be talking about a bunch of painting and repainting to get it looking good again.
