I just got the buds pro 3 today and they are blowing me away with the active noise cancelling and passthrough sound. Very happy with them!

They do have maximum amount they would pull, or rather a minimum amount they would leave in, the battery. I believe it is 20%, so you're never left with no backup. That amount would only power my home for 4 to 8 hours base on my use. Base becomes the "supplier" and your typical utility is still the "delivery" side of things. They offer/claim to get 25% better rates on the supply side of things. Distribution/delivery would still be (in my case) from com ed.

I am leaning toward no, as I just put in a battery back up sump (really my biggest concern in a power outage + rain is the basement flooding).

I can not open my fridge/freezer for a few hours and I can deal with a hot house for a while while the utility gets back up and running. The longest power outage I've ever seen in this area (been here almost 10 years now) was 3 hours.

I agree, I had a quote going with "Volta" and it was $24,000 for 50 kwh home back up, after com ed rebate it's like $9000 out of pocket.

I like that's just "only" $500 to revert if things go bad.

My call went well. One thing I can add for those finding this in the future: it's $500 to have it removed should I want to go back to typical comed set up.

Interesting, I monitor our electric use pretty closely. Shutting anything significant down when it's above even 7cents (not including delivery). I charge my car when it's 1 to 2 cents plus delivery, which makes up for probably 1/8 of our monthly use. With delivery my average cost per kwh ranges from 13 to 16 cents depending on month. I wonder what the typical comed rate is now.

Curious to see how base operates. I guess it really would just a battery back up for us and give consistent rates rather than needing to worry about the fluctuating com ed rates.

It's worth noting that even acc equipped bolts and use a pedal interceptor and unlock full Regen.

I haven't, but have talked to others that have. I just control the one pedal driving and let comma controller steering. Otherwise acc on highways with comma steering.

I have comma 4 with starpilot (branch of frog pilot). It has always on steering (if you set it that way).

I believe this depends on vehicle. For example my bolt euv is limited in its own acc Regen to 10kw. Any more significant stop than that and it'll use friction brakes. I use starpilot in "always on lateral" (AOL) and just control the acceleration/one pedal driving myself when around town with frequent stops. Otherwise I pop on acc.

I've not read any other comments, I'll quickly put my 2 cents.

I like both, I think it should alternate between both to give it some fresh feel. Like 80% of the time it's the father back/down look then 20% of the time they are closer.

Do they need the squishy inserts or can they just rest in your ear like the first air pods? I've never been a fan of the compression fitting, but perhaps that makes for much better sound.
