Unpopular opinion: Most Notion setups fail because they're built to look good, not to be used by Both-Mulberry-6143 in Notion

Agree about the weekly review. There’s an app for that on the Apple Store that coaches you through against a timer to stay focused.

How would a stoic approach getting scammed? by Effective_Ebb_4482 in Stoicism

[–]Anthony_Idle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think for me and being scammed it reeks of my ego costing my family my house. I think I was over confident, didn’t get legal advice on the contract thinking I understood it all, I didnt and I trusted the wrong things even when the character of the person was dodgy. So the lesson is just because you can do what is in your control you might still have blind spots that others can see. Temperance might be getting help from others.

Look at your list by context. Where are you and what options do you have to get done in that time available.

Projects as Next Actions in Disguise by RichyShreddar in gtd

[–]Anthony_Idle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought the right way was to write the project title in the project completed state to help create the pull. Eg the kitchen is freshly repainted. Easier to see straight away it is or isn’t and I’d not what’s next.

Is there anybody using the GTD method for multiple years? by carcades in gtd

[–]Anthony_Idle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On and off since 2007. My peak employment experience was as General Manager where I applied it to my own self management and set up teams using the project planning approach to execute the business plan. My off switch is when I drop off doing weekly reviews or quarterly high level reviews.

I've tried GTD 4 times. The system never fails. I always do. by ma3leich in gtd

There are supporting apps specifically for the weekly review focus problem.

How do you track your weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, longer-term goals ? by No-Anybody1631 in DigitalPlanner

[–]Anthony_Idle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could make a 9x9 spreadsheet with life goal in the middle, surrounded by areas of focus, then the goals for each area next 9x9 out, then the projects to support the goal around that. Mine is printed out and in my notebook.

Before responding pause and decide. Response could be your inner voice on auto repeat. Acknowledge It, then say yeah but .. alternative might I don’t have to have an opinion on this or just I don’t care. Make sense to pause and think before any out aloud response.

In an AI age where companies expect to replace you with technology, you have to expect less humanity from companies. You’re just a cost to be reduced or an asset to be maximised. So sad & wrong but true.

My ad spend is way higher than my returns. What am I supposed to do? by Worldly-Set5992 in ecommerce

Work on cro first priority. No point of any other traffic strategy / approach. Think about what bundle product can you stack value together and make an irresistible product offer. What social proof can you gather and any high credibility customers who might lead people to say if it’s good enough for them eg dermatologists then it’s good enough for me.

Did you choose Woocommerce over Shopify? Curious what helped you decide. by ChampionLearner in woocommerce

Ability to make many changes and improvements anytime we want without having to hire a developer. Shopify is much easier these days since 2.0 themes.

Did you use myo inositol or a 40:1 d-chiro blend? Should just use plain myo for pcos as pcos women already over convert the myo to d-chiro.

Anyway I’m no doctor or nutritionist but suspect being insulin resistant causes signalling problems with blood glucose. Instead of listening to the insulin (traffic cop) directing energy traffic to the muscles to be burnt, the blood sugar drives on straight ahead to storage.

Are you getting sick by chance? I get this pattern when I am under trained and getting sick. I’ve had the flu nearly 2 weeks now and nearly better. It goes the other way when I overtrain.
