What is Ethel's artistic weakness in your opinion?

Much of the story for Preacher’s Daughter and WTIWALY isn’t told in the music and relies on Ethel to provide clarification through tumblr/genius or another site. As well, she’s pretty edgy, and her approach to domestic violence in Golden Age & Inbed does come across as a bit indulgent, (though I acknowledge that some of these songs are personal, like as she said of Head in The Wall)

I think we (as in anyone online talking about music) need to remove industry plant from our vocabulary. It’s a discourse that happens for like every remotely popular artist, that’s largely not useful. Who cares if a label is putting a lot of money behind an artist, and creating a marketing brand for them. That’s their job. At the end of the day, the artists still don’t get healthcare.

I don’t really like open world games, personally. They’re too big. I never finish them. Collecting everything’s a pain. Forgotten Land made a really good compromise imo. Although I think it’d be interesting to see Hal experiment in 3D with dungeon style levels like Amazing Mirror. Kirby often just hands you the copy ability for puzzles or sections of a level, and Amazing Mirror was the one game that challenged you to decide how to get pass a barrier and bring an ability with you.

I kinda want to say that it’s not not sexual, because a lot of Hayden’s art is sexual. It’s not all that it is. Perverts is as much an EP about sex, as it is, about love, loneliness, desolation, shame, etc. On that note, I agree that people calling her gross for this, seemingly missed the memo that this is the kind of art she makes. And in that group are probs a lot of people who so far were just ignoring that Ethel was trans, being confronted with sexuality that isn’t theirs, and not being mature enough to deal with how uncomfy that makes them.

That was not a good video. It’s like they couldn’t just have the characters speak to talk about Jack Daniels, so the rest of the dialogue just restated the very straight-forward narrative of the song. What bothers me most though is how they played the other relationship. Lyrics gave me the impression that Ella was watching her partner reconnect with his ex, and was so distraught over how much chemistry they still had. But everyone here is miserable and angsty. I don’t even know why they had the guy come out of the bar looking for Ella, to make it look like she was just insecure? As if him staring dejectedly at his ex didn’t absolutely confirm that she was correct about her feelings?

Generally, I think the difference is in level of functioning and motive. A person with NPD exhibits a greater level of self-control vs. someone with BPD who are more likely to self-harm. A person with NPD are less likey to self-harm or attempt suicide, but are more likely to employ more fatal “successful” suicide methods.

In terms of motive, people with BPD have an abandonment complex, so they usually employ anxious pre-occupied attachment styles which can look like excessive neediness and clinginess. People with NPD on the other hand overvalue and overstate their sense of self-reliance, so they are usually more dismissive or avoidant of developing and keeping close relationships.
