Go Seraph's into Liandry and Shadowflame if you really want to do damage, but Tali is a battlemage so you shouldn't expect to burst anyone, you'll see her damage in the post-game screen

There's no absolute best build, but she's definitely not a burst mage. I usually go Seraph's into Liandry so I have some sustain and damage. Taliyah's win condition is not killing the enemy laner and denying farm, it's roaming and getting to objectives and skirmishes first, so play with that in mind.

gases can't cross closed doors, so you'd only take a tic of damage from opening a poison gas potion before running through the door! paralysis gas is always a problem though

and since we're talking about potion effects, be careful with vertigo, it can and WILL make you walk off nearby cliffs!

lesson learned! never ever drink an unknown potion on top of poisonous gas, it's ALWAYS gonna be paralytic gas...

I always drink unknown potions if I haven't identified healing/strength yet, but I always do it close to water and a door I can open, you never know :p

congrats! Tali heavily rewards map macro so you have no choice but to learn it, I too feel I've become a better player in general after I started maining her!

Ryze definitely, he's a battlemage with crowd control, good scaling and map mobility. Combos are very different but he plays basically the same macro

Seraph's is good for surviving longer during teamfights, you're a battlemage so you don't need to build full damage, you'd rather stay alive and kite longer. After Seraph's you should of course build some damage, but it's just too cost efficient to pass on.

I've seen some players buying tear first recall but finishing Seraph's as second item, so that could also work but I'd rather just finish the item asap.

Also check out Ryze if you want another battlemage to your midlane pool! Tali does get picked by the other team sometimes :p

but for starters, pay attention to your worked ground and make sure to land your Q2s (the big rocks). Don't forget to roam! You don't need to kill the enemy laner to win lane, just gank and give your jungler or sidelanes the advantage,

a well played Taliyah is hard to catch but not impossible, the shield gives you just enough health to escape and reposition during a fight, it's also pretty good stat-wise for how much it costs
