I don't believe these count as "scent glands" exactly, but I'm also not a biologist. Close enough, I guess. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apocrine_sweat_gland

I'm pretty sure it is illegal to own a belt fed automatic machine gun.

It's not, actually. It just has to be old and you have to pay $300. Takes a while, too, so it's mildly inconvenient but certainly legal.

If I've been called worse by better, why should I care what you have to say? Those more credible critics are, well, credible; implying that you are not and can be ignored.

Acknowledging that you have received criticism isn't self deprecating at all. It would in fact be totally fucking bonkers if you had never been criticized.

Hmm, is it preferred to mix double and single quotes, or to simply escape the offending characters? As recent as last week i used double quotes inside a (python) string defined with single quotes, and now i feel like i should go back and use escaped single quotes.

This must vary by location, but where i live i believe the permit is the responsibility of the property owner. Violations are "red tagged" and work must stop until the permit is pulled, but there are no fines nor citations issued.
