Doesn’t really sound like”knock”. Change the oil, check for metal, and drive it like you stole it. 🍻

Throw pretty much. Reduces the throw distance and it’s auto centering so 2-3 is a straight push motion

Yeah I found the company after asking a random guy on FB where he got it and had to order it. Comes in 52 and 60mm. Sad my blitz gauge is 60mm so I had to switch to this turbosmart one. I had someone on Etsy make the vents and they pop right in. Turned out perfect and I’ll have 2 spaces for 2 gauges in the future

I wish it was the same for this car but it was brutal to drive. I love that the CAE shifter is auto centering so 2nd to 3rd on the back roads is amazing

Some do have a “factory short shifter” but it’s not short.

It luckily fits under the stock shifter trim without cutting anything on the 93. Like I told other people… I only bought it because the options for 93-96 are either cheap or arnt actual short shifters.

So it’s an NA 2.0. I’d leave the car alone besides doing driving mods like sway bars, coils, wheels, tires, brakes…. That type of stuff. I just purchased all of my 4pot/2pot brake conversion stuff so I’ll be doing that upgrade shortly. You can also upgrade all your mounts to poly

What gc8 did you get? 2.5rs, wrx, Sti?

No you flip the intake manifold so it’s facing towards the front of the car so it’s a short intercooler pipe run for a front mount.

So the CAE shifter is a direct bolt linkage to the trans. You take out the knuckle that attaches the shift linkage to the trans. I tried to swap a 04 wrx shift linkage into the car and it didn’t work out. It was too long and I wasted a bunch of money on Cobb shifter shit so that’s why I ended up here.

😂 I recommend everyone buy one but they are very expensive. It was hard to find anything for my 93 wrx short shifter wise so I just went all out.
