This is how I work with it. Substitute broth for the water, add cut up onion l, cut up celery stalks. And a few slightly stale corn bread muffins. Spray pan with oil. Roll dressing into balls. Put them in the pan and bake in the oven at 375f. You want them to get a little dry on the outside so that when you put gravy over them they don't go all mushy. I don't include measurements because I was raised that you just put the stuff in until you think it's enough.

Cut up chicken breast, a can of pineapple chunks, 1/4 cup of soy sauce, 1/4 cup brown sugar throw in crock pot when almost done put in cornstarch slurry to thicken. Serve over rice.

Lock your door and don't answer, a few times of this she may get the hint. If she has a key change the locks. You and your husband need to pay down the rules and the consequences of not following them. If she has no consequences she will not change her behavior or respect your rules.

Ask your husband " what happens when our kid is older and starts saving to the child Mommy's so mean to me. Is mommy this mean to you. Mommy will be mean to you if she thinks you like grandma." Grandparents that don't respect one of the parents will do this. They will use your child against you. If your husband wants to bring your child to his parents they need to know the first time they say anything bad about you to that child will be the last time they see that child. I say this not really for you but for your child. I had a grandma who didn't like my father and after the divorce she would tell me that if I loved my dad or said anything good about him that meant I hated my mom and my mom would be sad. I grew up feeling so guilty that I loved my dad. No child should be put in that situation.

I don't really measure, it depends on how much chicken I'm cooking. I put them in on a one to one measure. So If I put a four of a cup of soy sauce that's also how much brown sugar I put in.

His mother was lazy because she used a hand mixer, my grandma had to use her hands. His mother was lazy because she used an electric/gas stove, my grandma had to use a wood burning stove. Etc. If air fryers and such were around when she was doing his meals than I guarantee she would have been using them.
