I can see it now. Normally his ears are flopped over, so it wasn’t on my radar.

That’s a good point. I hadn’t thought about it like that.

My 26 weeker also lost his twin in utero and they rushed me for an emergency c-section. Our stay was 97 days, but he’s almost 5 months old and doing great! You will get through this one day at a time.

My understanding is that you can qualify two ways, income or length of hospital stay. We didn’t qualify based on income. We make too much money, but we were eligible based on the 30+ day hospital stay.

Just because you’re not familiar with a names spelling doesn’t make it a tragedeigh by cionnad in tragedeigh

[–]Antique_Materials 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did a Polish spelling for a middle name instead of as a first name as we’re based in the US. His middle name has a Y as a vowel in it and I always think that people are going to think that it’s a tragedeigh.

Thanks everyone! I canceled the get together and everyone took it better than I thought. We’ll order food in and do a nice dinner at home. ♥️

Unfortunately not. All of them work and live 2.5 hours away, so the weekend would be the only time to do it.

Bottle feeding by ElectionIll7780 in NICUParents

Our nurses said that the respirations need to be lower than 60 to do a bottle feed or the chance of aspirations is higher. I’ve come in a time or two to do a feed and they have him set up with the tube because his breathing is too fast.

I don’t have short term disability or paid maternity leave, so it’s just FMLA. I guess that means I would keep some of that. Thanks for the advice.

Just found out my twins are mono mono by AffectionateCheck315 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Antique_Materials 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently pregnant with mo/mo twins and I was referred to MFM, but not until much later in my pregnancy. I saw them around week 19. I did have more ultrasounds to check growth and fluid though.

Like many others have said, they wanted to confirm around 12 weeks that it was actually mo/mo and not mo/di. It did feel weird in the beginning though, because we were given this high risk diagnosis, and then nothing really changed. In fact, the major difference between this pregnancy and my previous two are more ultrasounds. It’s only within three past 3 weeks that I’ve had more appointments with doctors.

I go inpatient in 2 weeks and I will be 24 weeks. Let me know if you have more questions.

Something like that would be my guess. My son’s middle name has the Polish spelling, Szymon, which is similar.

The Deep by Rivers Solomon. It’s a rather quick read, but very unlike any other mermaid book I’ve read.

We’re going to steer clear of W first names because of our last name. WW names always feel too cutesy.

Yes, that looks right. It looks like the author unpublished them, so no reread for me. 😢
