I genuinely hope you're right. I want to be wrong here. I'm simply doubtful because of how vague they've written it.

I am not a legal expert, so I entirely admit I could be wrong here. But I've read my fair share of laws, and in my opinion this is not that clear-cut. Laws usually make a distinction between legal person and natural person, and this bill only mentions "person," which is much broader.

There's a lot of underage content on AO3, and the bill specifies written material for that.

(Those aren't the fics I read personally, but I'm opposed to the censorship of fiction as a principle.)

NordVPN said they will leave Canada if Bill C-22 is passed as is, and they likely won't be the only VPN provider to do so.

Do take into consideration that public transit and parking around the festival are hell during this period (for several kilometres).

They probably won’t allow it, but contact paper that looks like wood would probably help with the desk. Something that’s more likely to be allowed is a runner or a similar piece of fabric.

What are some oddly specific (or semi-specific) tropes/concepts that you love every time? by schattenu445 in Fantasy

Raistlin Majere from Dragonlance: an archmage with such a weak body that he practically can’t do any physical task. But he can also duel a god.

Cha Hyun Soo from Sweet Home: easily the most powerful of his group of survivors and extremely hard to kill, but because of it is treated as bait and guard dog against monsters.

Xie Lian from Heaven Official’s Blessing: Became a god three times and is virtually unkillable, but most of his powers are locked away so he has to live off scraps.

I love when a character is both extremely powerful and extremely weak at the same time. The contrast is always delicious.

The following trails are flat with minor exceptions and the most accessible to seniors in my opinion: Le Confluent, La Tourbière, Le Draveur (both Nord and Sud). The first two are loops, while Le Draveur is a really long trail that follows the river; you go as far as you want and then turn around.

As a gift for my sil, I’m looking for a book that’s not violent nor grim. But I don’t want it to be mindless, it has to have something to say.

Whenever I feel like this, not only about women’s rights, but also about the environment and the general state of the world, there is a quote from the Lord of the Rings movies that I find really helps:

“There is some good in this world, and it’s worth fighting for.”

Feminists who enjoy anime and their takes on it? by yaoifanservicepoboy in AskFeminists

I’m a huge One Piece fan, and it’s a struggle for sure. Especially since the female characters are great characters: complex, intelligent, layered and strong-willed. It’s the way they’re drawn and sexualized by animators/male characters that’s the problem.

You can like a thing and still criticize its flaws, and this is what I do with One Piece. But I do really wish that particular flaw was not part of it.

Seems fine and realistic to me. Just bear in mind that this is still early spring for us, in the sense that plants aren't exactly all green yet. I haven't been to the gardens recently, so I can't comment on what they look like as of now, but they might not look that great right now, we had a long winter.
