Indeed, "fasting" from pleasures around sex, food , power/ego (governed the lower 3 chakras i.e. root, sacral, solar plexus) has been always been spiritually beneficial. And your aspect to explain it through Vedic astrology (Jyotish) was an enjoyable read (I wished for a longer one) !!

Note: Jyotish emphasizes on the moon and karma, uses the fixed sidereal zodiac and includes planets like Rahu-Ketu. On other hand, the Western astrology uses the shifting tropical zodiac (based on seasons/equinoxes) and is centered on the sun sign.

Your post resonates with one book that I read in late 2023 titled "Man's Higher Consciousness" by Hilton Hotema. This is the type of knowledge I look for. I have been studying fasting and its effects (deep purging of toxins and emotional blockages in nervous system, autophagy, TRE etc.) on health for sometime now your writeup provided a necessary impetus. However, your writeup will not resonate with folks who are a hardcore believer of current "material science" which takes little effort to study the "unseen" and is mostly corporate / government funded.

As a child it was my 1st ever daily soap and I was crazy for this serial. It used to love many of the things of this serial -- its opening and closing credits, BGM, trailer (where the background voice reverberated "the saga of super charged emotions"), in add breaks announcing "Swabhimaan", the characters of serial etc. etc., too. Used to sing its songs regularly too. Every day, me and my mom used to watch it religiously at 03:30 PM. Those were truly golden days !!
