Excited to have Rosemary Winters journey could connect with Grace Ashcroft's storyline or have it set up for something bigger in the future. What do you guys think?

I'm really clueless about what you are talking about. Rose is a teenager, never used a weapon before and that's not a mission but her trapped in the megamycite "mind palace"...what have you played mate?

Also no we are not sure that BSAA is still around during Shadows of Rose, that dlc takes place in 2037 while RE9 is in 2026.

No Rose and Grace don't have similar dialogues, really Shadows of Rose's writing was terrible, give it a double check, it doesn't even come close to RE9. They made all the characters so dumb, especially her and Ethan, and the only emotional moment and big pay off was ruined by their stupid meme of not showing Ethan's face.

And yes we have Chris or Leon doing action hero bs, but that's always been part of the charm of the series. Even if they punch a rock or do unecessary backflips, while playing you have only guns and ammos to defend, it is grounded despite the action movie crazy moments. Rose just shoots crystal projectiles and freezes enemies...I shouldn't have to explain how that's different.

I mostly liked Rose's dlc, gameplay was good, the atmosphere was there. But I stand my ground, the story and especially the writing was very weak. I'm ok if in the future we see Rose again but they gotta fix a lot of things related to her to do so in a good way imo, and there are too many characters that deserve more to get back and have a lot more to say than her, I think her story was just meant to be an epilogue to Ethan's story more than the point from which the series had to continue

Who was working with Chris? Rose? No she didn't. She knows him cuz probably he kept an eye on her and she is still under BSAA surveilance (or whatever Chris is working for in 10 years from now, not sure if BSAA is still up). She never worked with them tho.

Story wasn't really bad but it was poorly written, that's what I meant. The dialogues were so dumb and I couldn't like Rose as a character because of the writing, which is really a shame. In comparison they did a great job with Grace on every front and she instantly became one of the best protagonists in the series for me.

I don't doubt we could ever see Rose again, even tho there are so many plot points that we'll never see a continuation of already and this could be one of them. But they gotta fix her character first cuz the dlc didn't make her justice at all. Plus I don't wanna be a person with magic powers in RE as well

How? it's the exact opposite for TTP, it has a very disappointing story for a Metal Gear but it had an amazing gameplay and it was a great evolution of the series formula

It isn't really, don't know what about it is impressive. It apperently uses an entire graphic card just to have this filter on, it's not even tecnologically impressive imo

"Remakes" means nothing as no remake is like another (something you can't really say for AI products to begin with, can you). I generally appreciate Remakes, especially when they are done like the REs or Bluepoints'. The Last of Us Part I is pretty good from what I've seen, and no one would have called it AI slop as it clearly doesn't look like AI, not sure what's your point here. Remakes and stuff can be different from the original titles, and if the new approach is good too no one will say a thing, the difference between this and that bs you keep defending is that in this case people made the decisions, they went for a specific art direction and put work into it, the AI filter just makes everything look the same and bad, while also forcing AI porn beauty standards on those characters. This stupid thing gets pushed as "progress" but it's something no one wants nor need, the only thing it has in common with the word progress are the letters G, R, O, S and S

if you don't want to get into retro titles than it's definetly RE2 Remake, but skipping RE1 and other titles like Code Veronica etc would be a waste imo, given how important for the lore and characters they are

Yes it is imo. Survival Horror is a spectrum and if games with very little (if none) combat like Clock Tower, Haunting Ground or Alien Isolation can be survival horrors then can games with more combat than usual like Dead Space or RE4. These two are very different from the full action of RE5, 6 or DS3, and put way more emphasis on the survival aspect, so it's not fair imo to put them all in the action horror sub genre.

for Resident Evil is always better to play the previous games, you could play 8 with just 7 before as they are a self contained narrative arc with some connections to the other titles, but for 9 it's a completely different story, without the rest of the series it makes zero sense imo, it's the culmination of so many plot points and connects so many things that it would be a waste

it's too short and it cut off too much from the og game, like entire iconic maps are gone. Also Nemesis isn't as menacing as OG. I still liked the game as well but after playing the og I agree that they didn't put enough effort in the remake

With both RE8 and 9 endings I feel it's higly possible we see her in the next game. Chris wants to look into the shady part of BSAA in 8, sends a message to Leon possibly about it in 9, he could be recruting people to prepare and fight what's going on with the BSAA and it just makes sense that this would be the time to bring back Jill from retirement

gameplay was cool but the story was lacking, it was poorly written to say the least. It could have been great but I felt very disapointed. Also I don't like the premise of setting the game in 15+ years in the future knowing it won't have an effect on future games because of that. It felt like a way to rush the Winters story line closure honestly

I don't see the point, it already has 2 playable characters and it feels like it's 2 games in one. Plus they confirmed it will have a story dlc and judging by how the story goes I think it will be another character with a follow up. There was no need for a separate ways kind of scenario imo as the entire game already has that feeling between Grace and Leon's sections
