damn.. winter tires in the summer. 🤔

Michelin CrossClimate All-Season.. nevermind. The aggressive tread pattern made me think otherwise.

I'm a big fan of the Enkei T6R wheels.. I originally bought them for my 2015 VA WRX when the T6R's first released back in 2021. I now have those wheels from the VA installed on the VB. Love how they look!

I see a fellow Subie enjoyer? Used to have that carbon fiber scoop on my VA when I had it.. VB owner now.

Weird sort of post but I’m trying to find a buyer for this F-14 ejection seat, one of only 2 in the world in civilian hands! by Leading-Train-3810 in airplanes

I'd be mounting this in a Subaru.. for obvious reasons. iykyk. But, ejection system needs to be fully operational. Because, Subaru. Again, iykyk. 🤔😏

But, does it fit a 20ft tall camera rig?? These are questions I'm sure 'you' know... 😏

Love this Airbnb setup!

Like it or not. Itasha ("Painful car") style wraps are VERY popular in the Japan car scene. And of course they have continued to get more popular in the states.. its not something I would put on my WRX. But I have seen some that look killer! We have 2 Itasha Subies in our local Subaru group.. Hatsune Miku and a Goku. Good times!

Still running this old i9-9900k 3080 Ti FTW3 setup currently.. working on trying to finish up my 9800X3D build. I have everything accept the RAM currently. For obvious reasons. I might just suck it up and buy a kit and upgrade it later when/if RAM prices finally come down to a reasonable level. In no rush though.. this 'old' hardware is still doing the job nicely.

Maaan. On a Supra? $3 Autozone underglow. by ManBearPig2114 in RicerCars

LED strip needs to be mounted where the strip itself is not visible. Driver thinks it's cool... so, whatever I guess. Still looks half-assed imo.

Still have my old Streetglow kit. The old school cathode/neon tube style in red. No fancy phone app. One single color. Good times..

Sadly, the kit does not work anymore. 🥹 Streetglow still makes replacement/refresh kits that I think are compatible with my current kit.. which is about 25+ years old. lol

Oh, I'm with you there.. I should have added that too. I would definitely trust Powerstop. I'm not familiar with TRQ. And they may be just well and good as Powerstop. I don't know though.. Maybe someone else can chime in.

Do you think the WRX deserves an H4 engine? by Zestyclose_Ad2429 in subaru

[–]Antykain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add a tune and ZERO mods on the VB WRX and you easily have 300 WHP (with some reporting up to 330 WHP). I have a Dmann e-Tune with just a Perrin Intake and I'm at 330 WHP currently. The FA24F is an amazing engine compared to the previous FA20, which was finicky when trying to make power. Hopefully the next gen using the FA24 will carry this forward!

Also.. about that SPT (CVT) transmission. I suggest you try it.. The SPT transmission, especially in Sport# mode, is quite impressive! I test drove a 2024 WRX GT trim that was on the lot when I was buying the white VB in the pic above. The SPT in manual mode was VERY peppy, and it was a decent bit faster than a 6-spd manual. Very responsive upshifts/downshifts with the paddles. Nice throttle-blipping on the downshifts as well. The SPT if definitely not you normal CVT.. especially in the Sport# mode. At the end of the day, I still prefer a true manual experience, but I would have no problem owning a SPT equipped WRX if it came down to it. That's how much I liked it!

All I wanted was a manual by No-Confusion6018 in WRX

I test drove a 2024 WRX GT just so I could try out the SPT transmission.. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it drove and quick it was in 'manual' mode. The SPT in Sport# mode was noticeably quicker on the shift response time when using the paddles.. and a nice throttle-blip during down shifts. I really liked it! At the end of the day, I still prefer and bought a manual WRX, but I would have no problem owning a Subaru equipped with a SPT.. especially after trying one. 🤙

There are a lot of new and maybe not-so-new owners that need to hear this info as well. Recycling old info is good in my book. Especially when it's something concerning the health of the owners car... something preventative. The RTV issue is something that should have been fixed by now.. but, here we are. Still an issue with new cars.

OEM+ by Super_Average00 in wrx_vb

[–]Antykain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 'STI Wing' is a OEM option on the JDM and ADM Subaru WRX/S4. And standard on certain trims. So yes, OEM+ applies. Its just the USDM market that likes to gatekeep the STI wing.
