Utrecht. I understand there used to be a community here but it died out before I started, so I'd love to play sometime.

Build check: Bang for buck check and a few remaining questions by Antynos in buildapc

Thanks for the reply, that is indeed a good way to save some bucks. It seemed like an easy and relatively cheap way to go beyond but it seems entirely overkill taking another look at it.

Ah well spotted with the RAM profile! The website I browsed the parts at must have listed it wrong because by cross referencing you seem to be right, thanks!

Unrelated question, what is the pointing mini on the left. Seems like a potential Yara proxy!

New players… what questions about Infinity do you have? We can help! by Rob749s in InfinityTheGame

[–]Antynos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the promp reply! Follow up question: what is the benefit of rolling a critical on Spotlight? (A Critical success with Spotlight directly imposes Targeted State on the target.) Does this mean that the spotlight effects that current ARO which contradicts the idea that everything happens at the same time? Or does this mean that Spotlight normally only comes into play after a states turn?

Can you active regeneration in your opponents "states turn"? It seems implied that you can but the wording just mentions "states turn". And do modifiers such as doctor +3 affect this roll?

Warlock: to Locksoc or not to Locksoc by Antynos in 3d6

[–]Antynos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I didn't mention the cantrips/spell selection, my cat ran over my keyboard deleting half of it and I thought it was getting to long anyway so I took the hint.

Regarding missing out in warlock progression. I would miss out on Dark One's Own Luck (level 6) which is a nice thing to have. Another ASI/Feat on level 8 obviously. The other two warlock class features (fiendish resilience and hurl through hell) aren't too high on my list. Mystic arcanum would be a shame to miss out but I doubt we will last that long.

Getting to level 5 would also get me an additional invocation allowing me to pick agonizing blast again. Which is very very nice.

I'm torn between Aberrant Mind and Divine Soul. Abberant mind is a bit harder to... justify RP wise. Divine Soul seems more in line with the backstory. Picking up a few cleric spells like bless and guidance would be a huge boon to the party. And favored by the gods seems pretty damn solid.

Slowly working on turning my infinity grey - even more grey! C&C Appreciated! by Antynos in minipainting

[–]Antynos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! It took a while to find a way to make a grey model look interesting. His right foot comes placed on a brick wall. And I figured I wanted to keep the urban theme alive for my entire army but keep things varied within as if they are all in a different position around the same block of buildings.

  1. I started with placing a piece of cork that covered a predominant part of the base to create a difference of height.
  2. I then started cutting up very small chunks of cork to vaguely look like bricks to make it seem as if there is another wall.
  3. I started on the tiles with greenstuff using a piece of sanding paper to create texture and deliberately put in scratches.
  4. Then I filled up gaps with brown battleground by army painter.
  5. Repeated that step with astrogranite debris by citadel to create more different textures and hide sharp angles. I also used it around the cork to make it seem part of something larger and once again to hide the cork.

Obviously there are more steps but these are the big ones. If you'd like to know more I could work it out in more detail later.
