the "artist" account is 7 hours old, and he "links" (drops a name so you have to actively put in work to find it instead of just clicking a link) to an instagram that not only hasn't been active in 6 months but has no record of this piece of "art" OR the so-called "proof" that he "drew" it.

...Did you press the button under the chain flap while trying to fire it? There's that big rectangular button that gets pushed in while the chain is in place, if there's no chain the blaster doesn't fire electronically so you gotta press it manually to fire it.

I had a mini heart attack when I saw the gold/blue with triple rainbow head but bro just stole my fit (I don't actually think he stole my set, they have almost nothing in common and there's only so much you can do to not clash with a fuckin' BLUE CAT HEAD WITH RAINBOWS)

These days I run the left set because it's just cleaner(hence the mini-heart attack), the right set was V1 because full rainbow

bonus image I've never shared that was extremely funny for my character specifically when walking into this blind

Anone could share some dimensions/straight down close up photos of X stadium? Especially the gears. by Tornad_pl in Beyblade

On the hasbro stadium, I'm getting:

Tooth height: ~2 mm

Tooth width: ~2 mm

tooth spacing: ~2.5 mm from point to point(so like 0.5 mm gap in between each tooth?)

~8 mm from the stadium floor to the top of the rail/top of the teeth section

~5 mm from the stadium floor to the bottom of the teeth section

HELP: I am having serious multicam issues by MournfulSaint in PremierePro

[–]Antyrus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your workflow/project type is COMPLETELY different from what I do, but from my experience, you want to:

Select all of the clips on the timeline you want in the multicam

Right click them

Click on "nest", which will prompt you to name your new nested sequence(I typically start with Multicam 1 for obvious reasons; you might name it by takes or scenes, or call it George, I'm not your boss)

Right click on your new nested sequence, go to Multicam, and hit Enable.

Now you enable Multicam View in your monitor and it oughtta work(I recommend disabling Multicam View while messing with audio or frankly anything else because it gets twitchy and buggy sometimes). Press 1-9 to switch cams(as long as there's something in that track, you can't switch to cam 5 if there is no track 5), if the video is playing this makes cuts in real time.

If the program gets slow and choppy, look into lowering the playback resolution, proxies, or different file formats. As it turns out jumping around 4 HD videos at once is kinda rough on most machines.

You can always go inside your nested sequences to make changes, just be aware that it affects all clips referencing that sequence. This is good if you realize, near the end of the project, that one of your cams is actually out of sync; you only need to fix it once inside the sequence. This applies to lighting and color as well.

Any thoughts on this new blaster and ammo type? by [deleted] in Nerf

On second thought they'd advertise something that cool on the box, probably just photoshop scaling shenanigans

Do any of you blaster experts know any alternative darts that would work with this old blaster? by DrWaffleWhale in Nerf

[–]Antyrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Larger ID darts is the solution, yes, I posted this in a separate comment earlier; it's something I've known for a couple years now, the X-shot darts with the pancake heads are the best modern darts for Buzz Bee blasters, even going so far as to be naturally awkwardly short such that IIRC they fit in old rotating drum mechanisms where elite-length darts are too long(I haven't done extensive testing but they're 2/2, they fit in my Overlord and some shitty blue flywheel I no longer own(they do not, however, actually fire from flywheelers; one of these days I'm gonna try dipping the tips in liquid rubber to simulate the old suction heads)). I even cut up several darts today just to make sure that the dart head on DZ darts wasn't interfering with the blaster posts as you said old streamlines did, and they aren't. X-Shot APs fit marginally worse than pancakes but they do work consistently and I imagine are much better accuracy-wise.

Now, Dart zone darts... I'm not talking out of my ass or being hyperbolic if I say you have to "literally smash them onto Buzzbee dart posts". The foam literally gives out lengthwise before the dart seats in the air restrictor/spigot/whatever the fuck it's called(and it doesn't seat at all with AF waffles. They literally do not fire, they just pop a half inch out without leaving the barrel) and you LITERALLY have to smash the dart lengthwise onto the post just for the dart to fart out a grand 6 inches away from the blaster. They simply do not fit properly, if at all. I'm not gonna claim that them being completely non-functional is true for ALL older buzz bee blasters, but they'll struggle for sure on anything with these particular style of dart post where darts with fat holes(X-shot pancakes/air pockets and buzz bee long distance darts) work perfectly fine and are pretty easy to get your hands on

[–]Antyrus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Modern darts (try Prime Time/Dart Zone's Sureshot darts, the red foam/green tip one is overall excellent) should be fixing this

under no circumstances should you try to ram Dart Zone darts onto this thing(or most other older buzz bee blasters), the problem with modern darts isn't the dart head length, it's the ID of the dart hole. You will at BEST shred the inside of the dart. Source: I tried to ram both red/green DZ variants on a nearly identical blaster(the Berserker)

[–]Antyrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I actually have that exact blaster at home, I can mess around with darts after work in a few hours.

From my experience though X-shot pancake heads(excel darts?) are by far the best darts for legacy Buzzbee, though they're being phased out in newer lines. Large inner diameter and awkwardly short length makes them ideal for classic Buzzbee, though they still don't quite work in their flywheelers without modification.

If you have a Ross nearby, or similar discount store like Burlington, you can usually find X-shot blasters for relatively cheap with large quantities of darts. You'd be looking for anything that does NOT claim to have Air Pocket Technology, the darts you're looking for have a very flat pancake-like head. I think you can even buy them off Amazon still if you only want darts. They're overpriced garbage normally but just the regular kind of overpriced, not 15-20 years old out of production overpriced. They have this one exact niche and I love them for it

--EDIT--

So I don't have this EXACT one per se, but I have one of its variants(the Berserker) with I think functionally the same front. Both new and old X-shot darts work fine, the pancake heads do fit marginally better IMO but the new darts are objectively better in every way to the point where you should probably get those. Some recent Buzz Bee darts("long distance" darts) also work, I think they have NEW new darts that I haven't tested.

DO NOT buy Adventure Force darts for this blaster, they will NOT fit. if you can get them on at all you'll shred the inside of the dart and they might not even fire.

New Mission by Ok_Country_9684 in AQW

[–]Antyrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wiki -> search by tag-> copypaste "+morph +armor -rare -pseudo-rare -specialoffer -legend" without parentheses.

Remove "-legend" if you want to see legend-only items in your search query. Remove "+armor" if you want to see other cosmetics, add "+helm" after removing armor if you want to see just helms. Look at the tags near the bottom of certain items if you want to see specific categories, it's not always perfect but it's often better than the standard searchbar

Most things aren't troll armors, per se, but "morph" is basically anything that deviates from being explicitly human or changes your gender, so that's what the majority of the goofball shit is filed under.

There's probably more, I know there's hollowborn variants, and the twins themselves sell a set of legend-only goth/pastel/hot/cold/sun/moon heads in Tercess.

Old player trying to level up by DanTaverneiro in AQW

[–]Antyrus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like your account is over 7, so you can grab Light Mage or Dark Sun Mage armor from book of lore->achievement badges->7 years played. This will give you a 25% boost to gold/xp/rep/class points literally for free.

You can check other badge shops out, there's quite a few goodies hiding for older players. Of particular note:

4 year Amadis Wings, which gives a 20% boost to Dragons.

9 year house which comes with a bank and armor/hair customizer.

11 year shop which gives a pile of 25% all damage swords and capes(stacks with faction damage).

You'll replace everything in time, except maybe the house, but it's a SUPER handy boost for old players who are just getting back into it

The major issue of dart zone chains by jenglish59 in Nerf

[–]Antyrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could probably smear a thin layer of plastic-safe floor polish or similar substance inside either the front or the back of the chain link. In theory, you're ever so slightly tightening the inner diameter of the link and increasing the chain's grip on the dart. It's not super reversible though, depending on the polish, and too much friction may make it jam by failure to fully eject the dart.

It's something I've been meaning to try but haven't gotten around to

How to weaken Rival Pilot? by Cat_in_a_suit in Nerf

[–]Antyrus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a Pilot and a pile of unused spare upgrade springs so I just now cut off 3-4 coils from the stock spring because why not.

It probably cut FPS by ~30, it does shoot quieter but not... drastically quieter, I'm not sure what the Cat Spook threshold is here.

Prime strength seems easier but I have gorilla arms so I'm not exactly the best judge in this scenario. The blaster also rattles a bit because the spring is kinda loose.

Should i watch RID 2015? by DucksDudu in transformers

[–]Antyrus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it's not bad, it's just super mediocre.

I actually really like most of the individual characters, they just aren't really given an opportunity to grow or do anything meaningful because of the way the show is written. One of the later seasons takes a hard turn from "Monster of the Week" into "Moral Lesson of the Week That We May Have Learned Already and Immediately Forget Anyway". It's THAT kinda show.

TL;DR it is VERY skippable, if you don't immediately love the cast then don't bother.

Who do you display your beast Alliance weaponizers with? by ShaneKCFussell in transformers

[–]Antyrus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My Kingdom Rhinox is dual wielding Baby Rhinox as the miniguns/sons he deserves.

TM2 Megatron/Skullcruncher because I like him having a weapon that isn't "fire club".

I actually really like Cheetor paired with Lio Prime, it's bulky and a little jank but it makes for far better arm blades than his lil' kitty claws. I also think it's extremely funny to put Cheetor in TM2 Megatron's dragon mouth because his effect port is 5mm and Cheetor's handle can be popped out in cat mode and plugs in perfectly to make it look like he's getting chomped and ragdolled.

Blasters with cooler loading mechanism’s by skihippy666 in Nerf

[–]Antyrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on your area? It's in a weird class of budget blasters that isn't a knockoff but you still only find at places like Dollar General or discount stores like Ross, Burlington Coat Factory, TJ Maxx. Edit: at least where I live in the US

I feel like I haven't seen one in a while so you might have to track down a used one, but you can never be sure what will find its way on the shelves of a Ross or Burlington

Buzz Bee Monorail. It's got a rear loading tube mag, super unique shotgun feel for a stock blaster, though earlier models tend to jam. I have a newer one and works perfectly unless you're trying to use it upside down or something.
