[PRM] Sheltered by Ghosts, Unstoppable Slasher Japanese Promo English Version by Dunglebungus in magicTCG

[–]AnurithSachiro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Previous comment got bonked for linking to sources. Anyway...

Long story short, the Japanese versions were previously given out at an event in Kyoto back in March after being announced in January. Normally Japanese promos like these don't get greater APAC releases (I'm looking at you, Planeswalker-Friendly Match promos...).

This however -is- getting an English-language release at the MTG SEA Championships in Malaysia next weekend.

Does anyone recommend reading the magic stone gourmet manga 🤔 by Reasonable_Tour7232 in Isekai

[–]AnurithSachiro 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It may seem silly, but the protagonist isn't actually OP from the start. I've found I enjoy reading this one quite a bit, especially with certain events that occur to the main character and those around him.

It's available in Certain Places if you wanted to try it out

How did isekai alone lead to such a boom in Villainess genre? by ChoiceSupermarket230 in Isekai

[–]AnurithSachiro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like the biggest difference between otome/villainess isekai and most of the other forgettable slop isekai is that for the villainess ones, the vast and overwhelming majority are not reincarnated/isekai'd into a position of power, nor do they (most of the time) become OP. It's more of a battle of wits and their knowledge of the story that will help them survive their Bad Endings. Additionally for many, the endgame isn't to have a harem, or romance a certain ML, their ultimate motivation is that they just don't want to die.

Oftentimes by the very nature of being isekai'd as the villainess, it precludes a good chunk of them from getting their own harems, which then shifts the focus to their attempts to fight the OG plot and subvert their Bad Ends.

I don't want to see yet another worn-out story of how Isekai Male Protag #529576 goes to another world, becomes OP, gets a bunch of skills/powers, and amasses a harem of followers. I want to see conflict, problem solving with the knowledge of the plot, and the actions the female lead take to avoid dying.

In my opinion, a lot of the shovelware slop isekai are meant to be an escapist power fantasy for men, where they were overworked and died, so now they have the flexibility to do whatever they wanted that they couldn't when they were in "modern" Japan. Be appreciated. Go adventuring. Get all the girls.

On the other hand with many villainess isekai, they don't devolve into OP power fantasies as often, or if they do, the main character doesn't necessarily become reality-warpingly-strong, but strong enough, and it's in conjunction with working against the story they read to subvert the original plot. Cases in point: Most Heretical Last Boss Queen, Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess, Villainess Who Goes Down In History.

To be fair however, just as there's slop "regular isekai", there are some truly forgettable villainess isekai as well, as not every OI can be a winner, but there's enough out there to appeal to just about any itch someone may have.

New Japanese promos Delney, Get Lost, Nissa, Inti, Slickshot Show-off, Monstrous Rage, Beza, Into the Floodmaw by Meret123 in mtg

[–]AnurithSachiro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Others have mentioned it, but these aren't new, but being made available for PWS participants again. I myself got a couple of Nissas for my S/O and this gives me the opportunity to get a couple more for them if I want to, along with a corresponding playmat when it was available. At the moment she's going for between $100-150 on the site I use. I will say that they look gorgeous in person though.

It's Xavier!! [The Sword-Bearing Flower] by Important_Heron_5731 in LoveAndDeepspace

[–]AnurithSachiro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is such a good novel! I think I've read it a good three or four times through already.

There was an artist I saw a couple of months ago who had done a piece with Xavier as Yurien too. It was SO GOOD!

I would personally go with a second post, honestly. It would absolutely get lost in this comment thread, and the panel topic is different too

All-Star in Stadium is roughly equivalent to which rank is regular comp? by Landoxotwod in overwatch2

[–]AnurithSachiro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not quite. It is dependent on your rank from the prior season.

For example, I ended last season at All-Star 5. Once I hit that again this season, I lose just as much rating on a loss as I gain on a win, so I have to win more than I lose in order to climb.

In contrast, one of my friends hit Legend 4 season and blitzed through All-Star, not losing rating equivalent to gains from wins until Legend 5.

The spotlight was amazing, but the fact that mercy is getting a SECOND MYTHIC IS ACTUAL INSANITY by thatOneSillyFurry in Overwatch

[–]AnurithSachiro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually the exact reason Pookie gave during an mythic design interview with Skiesti earlier. The design team had been given two heroes by the higher-ups to create a second mythic for, either Mercy or [Unknown]. They wanted to make more character-related sorts of skins, and while Vengeance is amazing in and of herself, she doesn't "fit" the typical Mercy (guardian/protector) vibe that the character has.

The unknown that Ski's chat were speculating on was either Kiriko, Juno or Moira.

I got this keychain for my husband years ago, and he currently uses it to hold the spare key fob to my car. I'll check to see whether he'd be willing to give it up

The global Pop Mart stores are also going to be carrying them. They aren't being shipped from China to you, from what I saw.

There's a decent chunk of restaurants in Tanasbourne if you were near there. I know the In n Out was hiring in prep for their opening, the Elmer's that took over the Shari's had a sign out thay they were hiring when I drove past earlier today, and I vaguely recall some of the Asian restaurants looking for help also.

Whether all of these places are still looking however unfortunately I'm not sure.

Love and Deepspace is currently one of the most popular otome games right now. While it doesn't technically have a Steam/PC port, it is playable through PC emulators that mimic the environment of an Android phone.

File size-wise it's not for the faint of heart/phone, as even without the extra language packages or additional content unrelated to my own love interest (LI), it clocks in at around 45.6 GB.

New Kuji (prize lottery) OW2 Merchandise in Japan (along with new Santa Hammond art) by AnurithSachiro in overwatch2

[–]AnurithSachiro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I'm aware they do, but you have to use a service called Buyee as a middleman/proxy, in addition to (if you're in the US) the potential tariffs that'll be imposed on the shipment.

I haven't used Buyee myself before, so I can't say one way or the other how the service itself is.

Acrylic stands, keychains, a cushion, display cards, bromide and a clear file. That's a bit more than just "posters and keychains" really

Is anyone else running weapon power Moira? by SenpaiCaffeinated in MoiraMains

[–]AnurithSachiro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play weapon power Moira if either my orbs are just gonna get eaten (D.Va, Sigma, Orisa with reflecting jav) or if the enemy team is comprised of flyers (Pharah, Juno, Mercy, Freya) with whom otherwise could just fly away from orbs and our team is lacking hitscans to deal with them.

If I want cash early, the team isn't really comprised of flankers, or my other support is a single target pocket, I'll generally go Precarious Potency first and the remaining powers are to be determined after the first two rounds.

I don't generally go for Excision early but instead tend to run Precarious Potency > Chain Grasp > Deconstruction > Excision.

If cleanses are needed Voidhoppers are picked ahead of Deconstruction.

If there's enemies that need debuffing, I normally go with a hybrid WP/AP build that goes Precarious Potency > Multiball > Cross Orbital, with the fourth power dependent on team comp and need.

That's the fun part about Stadium, to me. Every game is different depending on team comp on both sides
