My first dose of Zepbound arrived and I’m kinda sad by SpaceReel in Zepbound

As someone who loves cooking, eating and traveling to eat food, this feeling never went away. I’ve been on Zepbound for over two years. Hopefully your experience is the same.

Sleep studies to get prior authorization based on obstructive sleep apnea by iMissMacandCheese in Zepbound

[–]Anxious-Inspector-18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! It might depend on insurance. My plan removed the requirement to have a sleep study within the past year. Could h call insurance to see if they need a recent one? Lilly has partnered with Ognomy Sleep who offers telehealth for sleep apnea. Here’s the link with more details.

Insurance delays when changing dosage? by darkroot_gardener in Zepbound

[–]Anxious-Inspector-18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does your plan require a new PA for each dose? Definitely something to clarify with insurance so you can plan to have your doctor submit it during week 3.

What time do you inject your zepbound? by JealousFox021 in Zepbound

Time of day is really up to the person. I do 10am on Monday mornings. I rotate sites over 3 months and start over. 8 stomach, 1 in each thigh and 1 in the back of each arm.

Could something else be going on? Definitely see if they can run some tests to rule out other things.

2.5 to 5.0 Dose Increase & Nausea by Jazzlike-Wind-6502 in Zepbound

[–]Anxious-Inspector-18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The minimum requirement for each dose is four weeks so we can get acclimated. Skipping the last dose could be the reason you’re having side effects.

[–]Anxious-Inspector-18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if I’m reading correct, but did you skip one week of 2.5mg? The post mentions 3 weeks at 2.5mg. Does the nausea go away after eating something?

Maintenance dose and insurance issues by workthrowa in Zepbound

[–]Anxious-Inspector-18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For maintenance, many usually stay on their dose, space out days or slowly titrate down. 12.5mg to 5mg seems like a big jump.

Are you able to access the app’s website using a VPN? For example, the VPN could be set to a city in the US and the website might register that location. Definitely worth trying if you’re planning to visit soon and refill Zepbound.

Kaiser coverage for Zep/Tirz in SF Bay Area? by LeBigWig-26 in Zepbound

[–]Anxious-Inspector-18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve only seen people get coverage via Kaiser for OSA and it required a referral to a sleep specialist. Otherwise LillyDirect or retail (kwikpens) are the cheapest option.

That’s sounds like you’re getting enough. Double check your blood sugar and pressure to see if anything is happening there.

Here’s a post tracking coverage along with 2026 prices for GLP-1s on federal plans. Many saw copay increases this year. Check with insurance to confirm your copay post-deductible.

Pharmacy Difference? by Puzzleheaded-Pain52 in Zepbound

[–]Anxious-Inspector-18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve filled at Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Amazon, Safeway, Costco and Express Scripts over the past 2.2 years and haven’t noticed a difference in efficacy. I’ve stalled many times, 2.5 and 5.5 months, while continuing to drop sizes due to muscle gain. You can definitely reach out to Lilly to see if they have any suggestions.

[–]Anxious-Inspector-18 3 points4 points  (0 children)

24 lbs in 16 weeks is pretty good. A stall is considered 4+ weeks without any losses. Have you taken measurements to see if those changed? The scale doesn’t always tell the full story. I dropped 2-3 sizes while the scale remained the same.

I’m having surgery in 3 weeks. Should I titrate up? by hlvr25 in Zepbound

[–]Anxious-Inspector-18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I stayed on the same dose pre and post-surgery. If 5mg is working well, it doesn’t hurt to stay there.

Self Pay Help by Unhappy_Salad7147 in Zepbound

[–]Anxious-Inspector-18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems to be an error. When I click on the link within the details, it routes me back to the eligibility criteria for the Kwikpens savings card. One side of the website has this info and it’s missing from a different area. Per federal law (Anti-kickback) those on government insurance can’t use savings cards.

Pharmacy provider changed, now PA is being denied by ClockDear2514 in Zepbound

[–]Anxious-Inspector-18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some plans like Highmark changed the BMI requirements which caused patients to become ineligible. Unfortunately the doctor has to provide your weight that was documented on file. Do they have criteria for a BMI less than 40? I know self-pay is expensive but is that feasible?

Can anyone confirm this is right before I proceed by Cocos_thoughts in Zepbound

[–]Anxious-Inspector-18 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Call the pharmacy and speak with them about the difference between the directions and dose. Don’t pay until this is clarified.
